Loving the latest pictures of the urban art or graffiti - however you see it. I will PhotoShop one of them as my photography magazine suggests you process graffiti shots. It may be a while though - I have loads of PhotoShop work to do for competitions plus my prelims are in January so I have to study. One slight criticism of one of the photos inside the building: You have stood in your own light causing your shadow to appear in the shot - if you go back again you could try a lower shooting angle. It might not be a good idea to go later at night when there is less light but if you feel safe enough - take your tripod and try some long shutter speed shots. You might get some interesting effects.

This is the one I was talking about above:

Heh, no I'm not gonna sent them to my magazine - I'm going to follow a tutorial that was published in the magazine. Sorry, I should have made that clearer.

The new photos are great. A few things that could be improved though. Most of the ones with the trees could be improved by going back and taking the photo in a portrait format for greater impact. Another thing you could do is grab your tripod, go back and set it up take a photo - exposing for the sky - and take another - exposing for the foreground. When you get back, stick them into photoshop in two layers and play about with the fill/opacity of each layer. Another good way to get by over exposing the sky is by taking the image - preferably one with lots of trees - then open it in photoshop, copy layer and on the copied layer add a radial blur (zoom) from the lightest part of the image. It will now look kinda messy so adjust the opacity till you can see the original image through the copied layer but with the streaks from the blur. When you have that select the eraser tool at about 200 pixels, accuracy is not that important, and erase the foreground until the blur looks like light coming through the trees. When you do this make sure that the source of the radial blur is the same as the source of the light in the actual image, otherwise the effect will be ugly.

Hope this helps. Great photos though!

Edit: Five hundredth post! Go me!

Woah how did i miss this?

Awesome update, you certainly have alot of comparison in the surroundings of where you live, from the derelict and dirty industrial area to the peaceful surroundings of the countryside and the rivers. I particularly like the graffiti shots, the close-up ones in particular look great, aswell as the long shot of the side of the building. The factory shots have a very grungy feel to them, and look fantastic, the one with the table overturned has great lighting, it's crazy none of these have been photoshopped

Not too fond of the sea shots, they're a bit bland, but the clouds in a couple of them are hot, i like the pic of the timber posts (fence?) aswell.

I might knock up a few manips, we'll see.

[Offtopic] Guess who's camera got busted the first day of my holidays to our beach house... There was a tiny crack in the screen that i didn't notice, went into the surf with it, came out, it was fine. Picked it up 1/2 an hour later and the screen was stuffed, it's gonna cost 200 bucks to repair because of the waterproofing :x

Looking forward to more of ure shots,
