Obvious ones are fine, when you know what they mean, and often using abbreviations doesn't mean that you have to extend the message. Also imagine if you were selling something like a Saradomin Platebody. Could you really be bothered typing that out again and again? I couldn't. Typing "Sellin Sara Pl8" is fine, since anyone with the kind of cash to buy one should understand exactly what it means. Honestly I'd say china is the most threataning military power that equal and possible surpassases america. I was in the south korean city of seol back in febuary and went on up to haiju and pyong yang and I must say I was amazed at how well informed the chinese were on everything the NK "goverment" was up to were as america is busy screwing around in some 3rd world no count country for no reason at all Anyways I realize that some great people have come from america however since the remote control people wont even take the effort to do most things anymore and yes i realize there are hard working people out their right now and Thats not the ones who I'm talking about because they dont come to their home and defile the english language online Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just look at your sig. When you type full words for everything in runescape, everything is not always legible. This is because your sentence only stays visible on the screen for a few moments. Shortened words in an online game is needed. It is not a crime. and on a side note. Did you walk up to a Chinese official and ask how up to date they are? I can garantee you that America knows just as much as China about NK. I mean, we were only threatened with nukes a while back. Third you have quite alot of mistakes yourself. Four I understand its neccissary in places with mass trading but it should stop somehwhere. I saw a person say "Sell 3k gm pss 555 tb" now I would assume hes selling 3k of something and he wants us to press 555 to buy but can you tell me what he was selling? Note the whole subjects about taking this too far which this player surely does. And on the whole thought of America being the number 1 super power in the world its true we have the capacity but we lack the ability to get things done. The US military leaders are so outrageously frustrated because we Americans need to get clearance to do anything no matter how quickly it could end the affairs in Iraq, Afganistan, and Lybia so we can get down to Sudan and stop a whole group of people falling victim to genocide which by far is more important than Osama Bin Laden right now. Everyday hundreds are slaughterd in Sudan and the military cant do a thing because the White House is to worried what France would think if we didnt clean up the mess first. Basically, in a nutshell, anything that is abbreviated down to 4 letters and then having a "y" or an "ie" at end of it is something that quite honestly just gets me steamed. I mean, why on earth do people do this? It saves almost NO time, and makes you appear to be an incoherrant, illiterate moron. Besides...look at it from THIS direction: If at a meeting with your fellow co-workers and boss at work, pick which one of the following phrases you believe to be more appropriate: "An n (pronounced just like the letter) today'z (with a sharp z at the end) meetn I belive we sud (pronounced like "cud" but with an s instead of a c) speek about da probs wit da stokmarket." or "And in today's meeting, I believe we should speak about the problems with the stockmarket." Which one sounds more professional to you, eh? My point is, to all you people who abbreviate things just to "save time"...don't. And you'r thoughts on foriegn affiars are terrible. American intelligence hasn't put in the least amount of effort with the Sudanese genocide or the NK. But you cant blame them for not messing with NK, they dont seem to care if Kim has nuclear weapons, cause the NK isn't being provoked by the US so everythings fine and dandy.
