Oh what the heck...to level smithing cheeply, buy iron ores, smelt them either in keldagrim or using rings of forging, then make iron knives and sell for a profit. It's slow, but profitable :) Otherwise make steel plates and alch (or sell) for faster xp.

Got 59 smithing but Imageshack won't load.

I don't think you make/lose any money by smithing iron ores into knives. So buy bars, then smith. It's a lot faster.

Lol, my friend trained all way( i think :S he hasn't mentioned anything else ) to 98 smith using iron knives. And yes it has taken him like 1ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâý years already :lol:

Quests are for nubs and I eat nubcakes. Only reward for doing all quests is having to get higher agility, and some other neeby skills, but really the cape is the only reward.
