Brad25891
After posting a WIP of a cartoon sig, i have people commenting on it saying to make it more realisting so heres a brief explanation of the tools used aswell as examples of each sig. Cartoon - A cartoon sig is mostly done in Adobe Photoshop version 7 or above. The tools used are the - Elliptical Tool - Polygon Tool (yes, using polygon can get you curvy lines, i've done it myself) - An example of a finished cartoon signature - Please note... On a cartoon sig the atonamy can be off, the people are suppose to be 'Blocky,' the shading doesnt have to be perfect and neither does the details. As you can see the shading is also 'Blocky.' Pixel sig- Ok normally a pixel signature is made in microsoft paint butsometimes can be made in photoshop for better results and more detail. The whole point of a pixel signature is to take your time and do each pixel 1 by 1. Tools used - Well im sure you guys know what tools are used... Avoid using straight lines, Perfect squares and circles all the time. Finished pixel sig - That just shows you what can be achieved and what is meant be each type of sig. Remember pixel sigs, Made in ms paint, Usually coloured 1 pixel by 1. Cartoon sigs, Normally made in Adobe photoshop, Not much detail, Not suppose to be perfect. Decide what you think looks better, To be honest i think pixel art is hell of a lot better inf you take your time on it. P.S. I do NOT take any credit from the 2 sigs used above, these are mere examples. If anyone has a problem (misterxman) I will take the sig down. Please do not comment on how good these sigs are this is just a guide explaining what type of sig is what. Once again remember these sigs where NOT made by me and i take no credit for them. Any ripping of these sigs can get you severly punished and banned from the Tip.it community. Dharockslayer
Meh, I cheat at the beginning of a pixel I guess. I use the line tool to do some sketches and then do the detail. But good explaining :D Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness? dkjestrup
thankyou! That is the question I asked cad when I first started at tipit hi im a noob when it comes to sigs so whats the difference between a pixel sig and a cartoon sig? :-k \ Pixel signatures are ones that have great detail and are usually done pixel by pixel (hence the name). These can be made with pretty much any program; Paint, Graphics Gale (GG), Photoshop, GIMP etc. Graphics Gale is most popular because it was developed especially for pixellers. Example: Cartoon signatures generally take a little less time and aren't in such a great detail. Often made with Photoshop and Macromedia Flash. Example: Thanks Terly for the best Avatar in TipIt -winks-
