Photoshop help

Hi. Just downloaded photoshop and i'm unfamiliar with everything about it. Ive checked out some tutorials on tip.it but they dont really explain what to do, most of them say "now fill the stage black" without saying "how".

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyone know a video tutorial for someone whos never used/ seen PS in their life?

hope fully these photshop tutorials will answer some questions. If you dont know what a fill tool is then you should draw a few things with ms paint first. If you are having trouble getting the tools to work then make sure to check the settings of the tool, for example the tolerance witch can effect it a lot.

I am familiar with MS Paint, but perhaps it's because i have photoshop CS2?

Im not trying to promote my own tutorials,

Cadbury: I've checked out your tut a few times but, for instance; it says, i dunno, duplicate it or something, and doesn't tell you where the duplicate icon actually is.
