You go to the duel arena and you fight other players in a duel.. you can put up your items " stake them " and whoever wins gets the items.

Staking is competitive combat with other players with the option of various rules, arenas, and wagers. The most profitable way of making money on runescape if you know what you're doing.

It's kind of like pking, but you can chose the rules (like no food, no prayer, no amulets, no magic, ...) and the spoils (if you win).

 

 

 

Go to the duelarena in Alkahrid and challenge someone, you will get a screen to chose rules and stakes, then a 2nd window to accept and you start the duel.

When you die you ONLY loose your stake, you keep all armour etc :)
