Help with walking animation

I tried to make a walking animation but i failed... doesnt look like the person is walking at all. Could anyone help me with simple walking animations?

Your arms swing when you walk.

 

 

 

9 to the front 6 to the rear mhm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, you dont walk from the knees, you walk from the hips, it is impossible to walk with just your knees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, your guy is kinda fat, theres usually space between your waist and your arms.

tried that hand thing but that made it look worse... didnt know how do it besides make them get shorter / longer. Also so what if he is fat do all pixel people have to be perfect?

your problem is you dont have enough frames for the his movements to be animated in but saying that you don't need many if you know what to draw in those frames.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

this guy's walking animation may help you, cus its done in 4 frames..

your character's artwork needs improving itself before you animate it though, or is this just a personal project? you cant make it look like its walking unless the thing looks able to walk.

well i tried another try and here is what i got:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I dont really want to do the walking animation of that because I was trying to make a 2d one and with less colors and and 4x smaller. I know it looks horrible, should of done the line work before coloring it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am kind of tired of this now but i should get enough money for X-mas to get enough to buy photoshop :) .
