December 25, 200619 yr best way to pixel fire- start with the shape, then shade it in. best way to shade- dont pillow shade. best tutorial for shading- what do you need a tutorial for? all you have to do is use 3 colors to define a light source... wop wop
December 25, 200619 yr ^That's pillow shading. Basically it's just following the basic outline of the shape without including any contours or other sources of light etc and it looks terrible.
December 25, 200619 yr Author ah right, LOL that reminds me of joe thompsons art homework! we were blending greens in leaves and i got an A* for it. (i'm good at blending colours on paper) and he had to do it again 6 times, it got worse each time lol!
December 25, 200619 yr read this tutorial, also includes what pillow shading is anatomy tutorial i tried doing blue flame, its my first time trying so it doesnt look too good, just go up the down the spectrum i guess. I think you are making the mistake of not zooming in, always zoom in when doing linework.
