Sportzmaniac
The NFL is my biggest passion, and I love watching it on Sunday. Just post your favorite teams, the best game you ever saw, predictions, and etc. I'll start it off by saying my favorite team is the Philadelphia Eagles. Did anyone watch the Eagles/Cowboys game today? Most intense, important game of the year. Eagles steamrolled over Dallas, and it looks like they're going to win the NFC East. I'm hoping Superbowl. I mean, who is that good in the NFC? The biggest threat is the Saints, but the Eagles can contend with them, and the Bears, too. For the AFC, the Chargers look like the heavy favorite, but I can see Baltimore or the Patriots. Colts are on a slippery slope. Chargers/Eagles Superbowl? Your thoughts, please. harryp0tt3rules
Bears. They are going all the way, the bears would trample the Eagles. And it seems that you make the Saints a bigger deal than the Bears, look at their records.
foolgool
Earlier in the season I'd have said that the Bears would just maul the Eagles, but I'm actually starting to think that they have a chance. The Bears are slipping, and Philly is on a roll. I'm just hoping that the Rams win next week, because I want playoffs so bad! The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132. Sportzmaniac
What has to happen for the Rams to get into the playoffs? I don't know who has tiebreakers over who. There are 5 teams tied for the sixth spot. Anyone know? And earlier in the season I would have said the Bears would maul the Eagles, too. But the Bears defense is slipping, even though Rex Grossman is stepping up. Devin Hester is amazing. But there is no way I can pick the Bears. How can I go against my own team? The Bears are challenging their defense to try out new things, to make them uncomfortable to strive to do better, and so other teams cant watch tapes to figure out what they will do :)
foolgool
St. Louis can clinch a playoff berth with: 1. A win plus a NY Giants loss or tie plus a Carolina loss or tie plus an Atlanta loss or tie -taken from ESPN. SO basically, we're screwed. Giants vs. Skins Carolina vs. Saints Atlanta vs Eagles. I can only see the Giants winning their matchup. I may end up having to root for my hometown team. XD The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132. Sportzmaniac
Actually, I see the Giants losing. They are on a slide, and the Redskins have been playing well. hellbellz
The Panthers! I just got a Panthers blanket today for Christmas. My favorite player is Julius Peppers, I first started on a flag-team called the Panthers, I was a defensive end (left). I saw Julius play one year and have been supporting him since. My favorite # is 90, hopefully I get a jersey for my birthday. My second favorite player is Steve Smith. He's an extremely good athlete, he's fast, can get around the field easy, and he's very good with his hands. =D> I hope next year they can make it to the Superbowl again, but make it this time! Sportzmaniac
Culpepper(sp?) had a horrible year, and I think the dolphins would be smart to get rid of him. rushrock
I find football to be quite dull, repetitive, and boring. To give you an idea of what I mean, I'd rather watch a Madonna music video.

But, if you'd like to discuss something relevant to this topic like your favorite team or what can possibly be boring about football, then please oblige :) Alright. Here's why I hate football: 1. It's an incredibly repetitive sport about sweaty people running around a field trying to get a ball. 2. It has no use, and it doesn't benefit society one bit. 3. The most interesting thing that will ever happen in the game is an injury. That's pretty sad. 4. There are much better sports out there that benefit people. Martial arts, skiing, bobsledding, even baseball, are all better than football. This is why I think football sucks. Obviously, people will probably have other opinions on this. If I didn't understand the rules i'd probably think it's repetitive too (plus boring, Saints on MNF please). But I just want to know one teentsy eentsy thing, how does does bobsledding or skiing benefit anybody more than football? I'm not trying to start a fuss, I just want your thoughts. My thoughts? Based on all your other posts the football players at your school probably all pick on you, so you may be a bit biased. Understandable. Well, they benefit us because they're a lot more "sophisticated", and they are a lot more "smart" in my opinion. No, the "football players" don't pick on me. Hell, most of the time, I pick on them. (Not in a bullying-type way, but a logic-based way.) :XD: I think football is incredibly barbaric. Sports like martial arts and skiing are more "sophisticated" and are more...I guess you could say..."smart" than football. Football's just not my style, and no, I don't think I was being biased. rocketman089
Yeah, I guess it is pretty simple. I mean any sport that requires offensive/defensive play coordinators, 11 different feild positions with thousands of plays, 6 referees, and an atrocious amount of technical rules and fouls is pretty simple. Those QB's sure have it easy, they only have to deal with a 5/3/7 man blitz, 3 recievers and a countless combo of half backs and full backs in a matter of seconds to make a play. Why can't they make all sports all simple as sledding down an ice tube? Gamertag: King Arizona
