Advanced Way To Stop Damage To Accounts

About 6 months ago, my main account was keylogged....

 

 

 

I caught them in the act, trying to log on.....Your Account is already logged in, please wait 60 seconds and try again....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When i eventually logged in, i was under the observatory basement with nothing, they even tried to drop my cat!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So i changed my password while they were doing it, so i got to keep my account....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But all this could have been solved if.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We Could Log Off Via Website

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If we could do this, this would log off our accounts in case of hackers...keyloggers etc...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Type in your username and password

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Your account is now logged off"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All your items are now safe and sound, hacker no longer has access....

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Of course you would have to change ur password before activating this, otherwise the hacker would just log back in

It should be called Emergency Log Off and be located under account management.

IF you are Keylogged, surely entering your details on the website to logout will allow the person who placed the Keylogger to get the details anyway?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And with the Emergency Log Off - what would this involve? Something to do with instant account locking out - only able to get the pass back by doing all the recovery questions? This could be a good idea which needs to be thought out more (or maybe I just can't figure it out properly). :)

i love this idea, my pure mage was hacked in the same way, i got home from school, tried to log on to go pking, but it said i was logged on, i thought "no big deal", but i was wrong... i logged back on in about 20 minutes, and they had taken my full (g) and (t) wizard robes, and over 3000 death runes... i wish they had this before i was hacked...

I say you have to enter your bank pin first, then I would support this. Jeez if somebody got your password AND your bank pin.. your done :wall:

yes much better idea or if not a bank pin some kind of special pin this way even if a friend hacked you who knew bank pin they still couldn't log you off, you could make the pin when you make an account

i agree with you and i like the idea i also was key logged but i knew they were coming so i put everything in bank and they didnt take anything
