Windermere
I was thinking of training my range up, since it's very, very low. And a question popped into my head, as I was planning to fletch or smith my own arrows/bolts. What's the difference between a crossbow and a shortbow? Why do some people prefer one over the other? sheepdean
crossbow = less range bonus, but u can have sheild (and i think faster) short/longbow = more range bonus, but 2h Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. Altra
Actually, a crossbow is much slower than a shortbow. Let's see here. Crossbow = One-handed, meaning you can have a shield (as was already mentioned), also has access to the special effect bolts. Shortbow = Much faster but two handed, meaning no shield I don't range much, but from the comparisons of my dabbling in shortbows after the bolts update, that's the information I gathered. nightshade53
Use a shortbow, or knives. Don't bother with a crossbow, why would you want to hold a shield when you will use safespots anyway :P

compfreak847
Iron throwing knives are great. They are very fast, although they do not hit as often as iron arrows. underu2000
stay away from crossbows when training. They take an eternity and a half to fire. Even with enchanted bolts, u have to be an expert at them to actually make those bolts worth it. Go with knives/shortbows. Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.
