What amount of Rune Essence you would mine before starting to craft runes, if you had level 1 RuneCrafting?

That's my method.

But I can't get any number out of my head. I've been thinking of 40 and how to reach it. Maybe airs and then selling them 10 each.

Thank you, but... I already have 1,5k essence =P I forgot to say that. Whatever forget this post I took level 40, then 60 and last 70(I asked my sister to say 3 random numbers between 40 and 70 XD)

here's a good goal: 44. high enough to craft nats and 5x airs.

If you are shooting for a particular level to make a rune, or to make multiple runes (at the current altar, or a different one), then you want enough to complete the current "mission" - at least enough to get the multiple or rune you're aiming for, plus enough to do a worthwhile amount of them... I've never made a rune I didn't plan on using, but then that's the way I train mage.

I generally work on a 500-1k ess budget, to be consumed on whatever "plan" I'm working to. More than 1k is just too boring to do at one stretch.

Set a goal to yourself, for example 5k rune essences. Than start to runecraft them, and when you're ready, set a new goal. And go for it. Repeat until you're happy with your Runecrafting lvl.
