Like the first question be specific, don't just say filters please.. By effects I mean when it looks sort of transparent or with lines going diagonally or dots. Yarrg. I had more questions but I forgot them.. Any other information is helpfull too .. even if it isn't an answer to those questions. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
tripsis
1. Switch the brush tool to pencil (at least in my version of Photoshop, just hold down the brush tool and another little menu will come up, allowing you to switch to the pencil tool). And make sure the type of brushes you are using are the "Square Brushes." Then just have at it :P 2. I would suggest http://www.deviantart.com. Go to: Browse > Catagories > Resources > Application Resources > Photoshop Brushes You can use the search function to find more specific brushes. 3. Well that is a very, very broad question. There are hundreds of different effects and filters. To make things transparent, you change the opacity of the image. If you have an image on a separate layer, go to the layer palette and change the opacity from 100% to something lower, depending upon how transparent you want it to be. As for lines going diagonally, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to.. If you're just talking about a single line, click on the "shapes" option in the toolbar, and lines should be one of them. Then click and drag. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

Star.
Oh. Tripsis I was sort'of refering to lines but diagonally and all equallly as long.. like this [[Runemetsa's signature]]: I was hoping that to make these you didn't have to make them one bye one.. Another effect [[Runemetsa's siognature]]: I was wondering how you did this, like so its not dots everywhere so they fade away .. like an opacity changes. Thanks Darrel, those are cool. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
cadburys_egg
The patterns are made pretty easy. But the "fading away" bits are... a little harder, just uses layer masks. Look on a site such as Good-Tutorials for scan lines or dots for tutorials on how to do them.
No_OnE
The lines and dots are called scan lines. You can download them at places like deviantart.com by searching for Photoshop patterns and choosing one you like. You get out your fill tool, set the mode to pattern fill, and just fill the space with the pattern. Once you have the layer of scan lines, you can mess with filters and layer settings to achieve an effect that you like.
