First Space Sig [U]

Harro to all, inspired by Metroid's planet tut i attempted to make a sig with some of the various planets i made. I think it looks alright, a bit blank in spots, but i'm not sure what to add. Not sure that i like the left hand planet... not sure whats wrong with it though lol. Should i current it? (i know it's to big atm :wink:)

Alright.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The bad:

 

 

 

-The text color doesn't match very well

 

 

 

-The border is too fat (cut it in half maybe...)

 

 

 

-You used "rabies_star" brushes to make your stars, instead of making them yourself.

 

 

 

-The space scene has no nebulae - Not really NEEDED.. but when you have a pure space scene.. it's best if you have one.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The good:

 

 

 

-The planet texture is very nice.

 

 

 

-You made two planets and was creative instead of just sticking to one like most people would

 

 

 

-The star brushing is well placed

 

 

 

-The text is good, aside from the color

 

 

 

-The border is perfect.. just too fat

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Try adding a nebulae.. maybe some distant galaxys or planets aswell.

 

 

 

And don't use rabies' brushes.. you're better off rendering noise stars probably.

I like it but the border is too "fat" as met said. I like the space scene, fills everything without being too busy. I think the text should be a whiter colour like the flash on the right. Apart from that I like it :P

Like above, the text doesnt really fit. The border could be thinner also.

I happen to like the border size. Anyway, it's nice but it doesn't seem to hard considering you used a star brush. It would've been more original had you made the stars yourself. Good job though. You did nice on the planets and everything else overall. Text could be better.

It's not covering or obscuring any of the main features of the picture, and any thinner and we would barely be able to see it, it's the star in the bottom middle that makes us realise it's there.

thx for the comments guys, specially metroid. I'm not going to change the border, i like it, but the text colour will. I used the brushes because i didn't know how to go about doing it for myself. Any tips?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Woop, Ks Jeppe told me, and i've undertaken the project of making the underbanners for runehead. I sent them on monday as wips but she hasn't replied. What happened to ure comp eh? sounds bad.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I didn't use a tut btw, just mucked around, so thats probably why there isn't a 'nebulae', i don't know what one is lol.
