A64 X2 4200+ 1GB GeIL DDR2 800 ATI X1600 Pro 2x 250GB SATA2 discs It's going to have XP Pro on it for now, then Vista to replace it, then I will have SUSE10 as well perhaps.
January 19, 200719 yr There will be 1024 installed, but for some reason or other the machine isn't reporting all of it. On board video is an example where that happens. Both of my towers report something like 1020 RAM while both have 2 512 sticks installed. No real idea why they do because onboard video is non-existent but it's never really been enough of an issue to go researching. It may be reserved kernel memory.. I don't think Windows reports the memory used by the kernel AFAIK
