Pest Control-Damage points?

I am trying PC for the first time and am a little confused about the damage points in the mini-game. Hoping some one can answer this for me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've read the guides and understand that :

 

 

 

1. you need 50 damage points minimum to get 1 Commendation point

 

 

 

2. I can turn those Commendation points in for XP back on the main Island.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I don't know is, if there is a bonus or award for getting more than the 50 damage points required during the mini-game. In other words, is there a difference in rewards if I end the mini-game with 200 damage points vs the required minimum of 50?

As far as I know, doing games where I get between 70 and 700 points, The only advantage in doing more damage is getting more exp from the damage. You won't get more commendation points from it, but you will get more exp.

Whether you get 50 or 5,000, you can only get 1 commendation point per game won.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The only reason you'd get more is that pests are easy to hit, and you get more and more XP.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

200 hits vs. 50 hits, over 1,000 games, means 600K more xp. So you can stop at 50, or play through...

thanks for the info! THat's what I thought, and because I am going for XP I will continue to build damage points. I was just unclear because the count grows and I thought it might mean something else..

save your commendation points till you got 100 so you get more xp then everytime 1 point :)

When you fix the barricades you get more points.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saving points to get 100 gives you 10% more xp in that skill.

No, you don't get more points for more damage ( :( i wish). I sometimes do over 1200 damage ( :shock: ) with ancients on slow worlds, but just 1 point, so i'm pretty sure of what i'm saying.
