I watched a trailer the other day about a movie where this guy is working for the government(or something like that) and is building a deadly weapon, he is payed 3 million dollars and then brainwashed. When he goes to collect the money alls that is in his account are some items or clues leading him back to his memory. I swear this movie was Bourne Identity, but I just watched it and it isn't.

Iv seen it but cant quite think of it. I think it has the same actor who plays Jason Bourne in it.

Matt Damon plays Jason Bourne in all three movies. He also loses his memory. However, none of this deals with a deadly weapon costing 3 million dollars.

The film hes thinking of is when someone invents a time machine, or some weapon, and builds it in a lab for like 5 years. And then to stop the maker from telling the police he made it, they wipe his memory. So when he goes to the bank to collect his payment, theres no money except clues he left himself incase, what happened ever happened.

You were correct about the timemachine. Afleck is an engineer who reverse engineers advanced equipment, but his memory is deliberately wiped aftewards (willingly) to prevent any leakage.
