I like this! This is kinda what I wanted to say, but I have no knack for putting things into words. This thread is kinda stupid (no offence!) in a way because it's just an excuse for everyone to say "I'm a non-conformist!" when everyone conforms subconsciously, otherwise we would have no society or culture. (Although without sounding harsh, I believe English culture is next to none, and that that does remain I think little of..). But yes, back on topic, nicely put, even if you did confuse yourself!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I don't think its stupid. It can lead to some productive discussion. Do you really think everyone has been replying like - 'I don't conform, because i'm better than you and conformity is stupid.'? I don't think so.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I didn't mean for it to sound in that particular manner, but in all honestly reading the majority of posts in this discussion comes the response, "No I don't conform" I didn't put any other slant on that fact just stating that this is what people are saying. I didn't mean offense by what I said, simply stating my opinion. Sorry if I offended you.

Yes, there have been some rather 'unproductive' posting going on, but you have to remember - it's a very subjective question. People will respond to it differently (and yes, age and maturity comes into the equation as well). I don't agree that this thread is stupid, but I'm not offended by any of the comments you made, ctp080188, so it's all good. :D

Hmm conform eh. Well... I try not to. But I do a bit. In some ways I do, in some ways I don't. Simple as!

I conform in the way that I dress because i like the way it looks (hollister, abercrombie, etc). In everything else I dont.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Everyone at my prep school (well 98%) are christian. I am an athiest. The majority of them listen to country/pop/soft rock. I listen to pretty much..just metal. I get along with people just fine but I don't conform to them. If its not something I dont want to do I cant say that I would do it
