Your Personal Top 10 Movies!

Featured Replies

This has probably been done before, but I didn't see any threads.

(I was gonna' make it top 5, but I want to mention more than 5, heh)

If you can't think of 10 movies, just put down 5...or even 3.

1 - Equilibrium

Great movie, good plot, a lot of action, definitely my favorite movie.

2 - Pirates of the Carribean: The Black Pearl

Good action, good plot, good comedy. It's got it all.

3 - Pirates of the Carribean 2: Dead Mans Chest

Not as good as the first one, but still very good.

4 - Green Street Hooligans

A movie based off people who street fight. Definitely high up on my favorite movies.

5 - The Punisher

Not that many people enjoyed this movie, but I did.

6 - Gladiator

Pretty much everyone has seen Gladiator. Very good movie.

7 - Batman Begins

By far in my personal opinion the best Batman movie.

8 - Boondock Saints

Another good action movie.

9 - V for Vandetta

Just a great movie.

10 - The Matrix

The second and third weren't that good, but this one still remains as a personal favorite.

Hmm...come to think of it, I haven't watched that many comedy movies.

Honerable Mention (I know a lot of people will name this one):

Monty Python and the Holy Grail

One of the best sattire movies out there.

Crap. I was hoping by the time a topic like this came up again I would be able to make a list. I'm having the same problem as the other times, I need to fit about 100 movies in my top 10 :P . I'll attempt a list this time though.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Aliens is more of a SciFi action, and Alien is more of a SciFi thriller. I liked Aliens better, just because of the quotability of it.

"We'd better nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure"

"Game over man, game over!"

"They mostly come out at night, mostly."

Those are just some of my favourites :D .

Apone: All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!

Ripley: How many drops is this for you Lieutenant?

Gorman: Thirty eight... simulated.

Vasquez: How many combat drops?

Gorman: Uh, two. Including this one

I only have two: Phantom of the Opera (2004) and V for Vendetta. In both films, the male protagonists both have characteristics of the Byronic Hero. And wear masks. Hmm. Coincidental, I suppose.

Oh, and the English Patient.

LOTR are my favorite.. Can't really say more? :-k
