Fletching - What To Do?

Ok, I'm at level 65 fletching, and I'm heading for level 70. However, I have a problem. I don't have too much money, but I think I can buy enough Yews to get me to level 70, however, I was going to use the yew logs to make and alch longbows.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So.... should I move onto yew shortbows, or stick with maple longbows right up to 70?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I also need to have some money left over to buy nature runes. :-k

Maple longs until you can make the yew longbows, the shortbows don't make you any money, and they aren't worth the strining.

do willows, you can buy them cheap or cut them fast.

Or, if you've done Throne of Miscellania and Royal Trouble, you can get Maples for 40 gp each. In which case, set 10 workers to Maples, fletch unstrung Maple longs, and sell them to charter crewmembers in Catherby for 44 gp each.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: I didn't string anything until I got to Yew longbows. At 200 GP for each bowstring, it just didn't make sense. And the carpal tunnel from all that clicking...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There's plenty of that after you get to Yew longs.
