Minotaurs in the Stronghold of Security are nice, there are safespots and they drop plenty of iron arrows.

rock crabs with knives or darts, bow would still work fine

dark wizards work well, esp. the lvl 7s south of varrock and in the wildy north of fally. After that (60+) I like lesser demons because they can be safespoted so well.

I'm not sure where to train at 40 (I did lessars till 50 but i'm not sure if that's the fastest way) but I would highly recommend using a bow, and not a throwable weapon.

The loss of the ranging attack bonus without the bow isn't good...

Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.

if i remember correctly, at that lvl i started killing guards. great fast xp and u can use the fence or the rocks for a safe spot (by the east Varrock bank).

2nd lvl of the Stronghold Of Security There's a room with 3 lvl 21 Giant Rats, there non-aggresive, and 2 flesh crawlers, use the skeletons as a blockade and range them.
