foolgool
I've been wanting some classic rock on my Ipod, and I like the sound, but I don't know the names of many famous songs. Could you guys help me out a bit, and suggest a few songs? Help is always appreciated. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
Jaziek
ummm, what do you call classic rock exactly? - its a veeeery broad genre.

Could you guys help me out a bit, and suggest a few songs? Help is always appreciated. Back In Black - ACDC Black Dog - Led Zepelin Try those and some others by these and similar artists. Edit: Did you mean classical rock or old school rock?
twr_phr33k
Gosh, any song from: Aerosmith Guns N' Roses Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd AC*lightning bolt*DC Nirvana Jimi Hendrix Motley Crue Rush Metallica Beatles The Police The Rolling Stones The Who List goes on... 10+ gigs of those bands' songs on my Pod... As mentioned, you have to specify what 'classic rock' is for you.
foolgool
Sorry for not being specific, but I was thinking along these lines: Aerosmith Guns N' Roses Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd AC*lightning bolt*DC Nirvana Jimi Hendrix Those were taken from twrphr33k's list, by the way. Those and other bands would be appreciated. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.

Bubsa
I know it's not classic rock, but I just have to suggest this: KISS - I wanna rock 'n' roll all night Walk down the street with this blazing in your ear. It's smegging hilarious. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
assassin_696
Anything Clapton related, 'specially Derek and the Dominos and Cream. I'm not saying it's all classic-rock, but it's normally pretty damn good. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
foolgool
Thanks a lot guys. So far I have Back in Black and You Shook me All Night Long-AC*lightning bolt*DC and Wonderful Tonight, by Eric Clapton. I've heard good things about Deep Purple. What do you guys think of them? The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
assassin_696
Deep Purple are awesome, buy a greatest hits type cd of theirs and you won't regret it. Also, as a bit of a Clapton fan Wonderful Tonight is probably his least classic rock type song. Check out: Layla, Badge, Sunshine of Your Love, White Room and Tales Of Brave Ulysses. If I had to pick one of those, Layla, hands down. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
timmay929
Queen is good. You should get some of their songs. 122 Combat : 99 Hits : 99 Attack : 99 Strength97/99 Defence : 99 Fletching : 99 Woodcutting

Nirvana, metallica and motley crue arent classic rock The world would be a whole lot better if little green men in UFO's came down to earth to abduct rednecks. warri0r45
Motley Crue Judas Priest Meatloaf Pantera.... Not classic but gotta have it anyway :D Yea, can't argue there. Even though they're metal, check them out, Dimebag was a legend.
Bubsa
Cream - Sunshine of your love is a classic. One of the most recognisable opening riffs to a song ever. :) *Doodoodoodoo-doo-doo-doo-doodoo-doo* This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you. GordanFreeman
Yea, Cream's sweet...Crossroads ftw. Anyways, Led Zeppelin-Black Dog, Stairway, Over the Hills and Far Away are my favorites...Boston, another great band, songs like More than a Feeling, Foreplay/Long Time, Peace of Mind, Smokin'...Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody, Another one bites the dust, pretty much the whole Night at the Opera album is amazing. Also, bands like Kansas (for Carry on Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, The Wall, Point of Know Return, Child of Innocence) and Yes (Roundabout, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Into the Lens, Heart of the Sunrise) are probably more of aquired taste, but you can't help to admire the musicianship in them even if you don't like the sound (but I, personally, love them). My favorites from Deep Purple are songs like Lazy, Child in Time, Fireball, Highway Star, Burn, Smoke on the Water (duh). There are way too many other bands to name, but i'd say this'll give you a good idea of some good bands, don't just pay attention to the songs but the bands in general. Oh, also Rush is an amazing band. "El que no arriesga no gana"
foolgool
Thanks for all of the input, guys! I'm going to use my next Itunes card all on this stuff you all are suggesting. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132.
