    Food

I recently moved from Pittsburgh to Richmond, VA. Last week I visited...and had an Angus Steak Primanti's sandwich...and now I want another one. Damnit. Always gotta get that extra slaw on the side though, that stuff is excellent.
  2. I'm getting horrible lag on the server right now, and on another one I tried. So I guess I'll just try again in a bit.
  3. Nice, I'm only at 8 right now, and then I didn't know anything about the 5 hour limit thing, I was getting frustrated because I couldn't finish any quests. Finally smartened up and decided to check the forums.
  4. Wonder what the server shut down was about? And so much for not having as much lag by going there, seemed like it was the most populated server
  5. I used Aja in CB, so that's probably what I'll use here.
  6. Nice, which race will you be playing? It'd be cool if we could do some quests together or something, if you want to just steam message me your character's name on sunday. I'm THEDukeNukem on steam.

    Steam

Yea, the game files you can pretty much move to any computer, you just need to download the steam client, which is a pretty short download anyways. As long as the account you're logging into has the games you're trying to play registered, you'll be able to play them.

    Steam

Plus, you can get quite a few other good games through steam that Valve didn't make. Steam's pretty much the best thing that's happened to PC gaming in the past 5 years. Not to say that Steam hasn't been around for more than 5 years, though, more like 6 years.
  9. So is 1.5 content we haven't seen yet, back in CB? Either way, i'm excited to start playing again.
  10. I would, if only there was something to converse about. Still waiting on open beta unfortunately, hopefully it starts in the next couple of weeks. I think on one of their twitters they said the announcement would be made this week.
  11. Closed Beta 6 was excellent, from what I played of it. I decided to go Elyos mage for my first character and got to around 14. The quests were fun, combat was fun, the game is beautiful; it looks like it'll be a great game. Unfortunately I was only able to play on Friday because I've been away Saturday and Sunday, I wish I could've done alot more. Can't wait for open beta though.
  12. It's debated. But the argument for it is that the cigarette has a filter on the end so that when a smoker inhales, the some of the toxins are filtered out before entering the smoker's lungs. However, if you are sitting next to the smoker, you don't have the luxury of a filter. When you inhale the smoke, you inhale all the toxins into your lungs. The smoker smokes through the filter, and exhales excess smoke to their surroundings. The smoke being exhaled has been through two filters, the cigarette filter and the smoker's lungs. And if you're talking about the smoke coming off the end of a cigarette, it's minimal compared to the amount being exhaled.
  13. That's completely ridiculous. I could see the children of chain smokers getting lung cancer from second hand smoke, but walking by someone smoking a cigarette, even every day, isn't going to give you lung cancer. Nicotine and batteries are placed into a small device that looks like a cigarette, you inhale through one end, and when doing so the device changes the liquid nicotine into a vapor, which is then inhaled. No smoke, no additives, no paper being inhaled, just nicotine.
  14. +1. So true too ;) Weed is just a plant. Chemicals in cigarettes include: [hide=Nasty Cigarette Chemicals]Benzene (petrol additive) A colourless cyclic hydrocarbon obtained from coal and petroleum, used as a solvent in fuel and in chemical manufacture - and contained in cigarette smoke. It is a known carcinogen and is associated with leukaemia. Formaldehyde (embalming fluid) A colourless liquid, highly poisonous, used to preserve dead bodies - also found in cigarette smoke. Known to cause cancer, respiratory, skin and gastrointestinal problems. Ammonia (toilet cleaner) Used as a flavouring, frees nicotine from tobacco turning it into a gas, found in dry cleaning fluids. Acetone (nail polish remover) Fragrant volatile liquid ketone, used as a solvent, for example, nail polish remover - found in cigarette smoke. Tar Particulate matter drawn into lungs when you inhale on a lighted cigarette. Once inhaled, smoke condenses and about 70 per cent of the tar in the smoke is deposited in the smoker's lungs. Nicotine (insecticide/addictive drug) One of the most addictive substances known to man, a powerful and fast-acting medical and non-medical poison. This is the chemical which causes addiction. Carbon Monoxide (CO) (car exhaust fumes) An odourless, tasteless and poisonous gas, rapidly fatal in large amounts - it's the same gas that comes out of car exhausts and is the main gas in cigarette smoke, formed when the cigarette is lit. Others you may recognize are : Arsenic (rat poison), Hydrogen Cyanide (gas chamber poison)[/hide] Pretty nasty :( Just because its a plant doesn't mean it can't be bad for you. I really [bleep] hate the "it's just a plant" argument. Why? Marijuana is the dried form of the Cannabis bud. It really is just a plant. Any smoke is harmful to the lungs, but the fact of the matter is that nothing in marijuana smoked has been linked to any kind of cancer, and THC has actually been shown to reduce the size of cancerous tumors. But you can reduce any kind of risk by 100% by simply using a vaporizer, and reduced quite a bit by using some sort of water filtration when smoking.
  15. Smoking for me is more of a social thing, though I tend to enjoy cigars more than I do cigarettes (and therefore I don't harm my lungs as badly, at least with cigars). When I do smoke cigarettes, it's when I'm with friends, just relaxing. I'll have one by myself occasionally if I find myself overly stressed out, or nervous, but that's about all I use them for. Cigars, on the other hand, I'll enjoy anywhere. Plus, I find they give you more of a nice, relaxing buzz, most likely from the reduced amount of nicotine entering my system (through my mouth instead of my lungs). That's something I hope to become more knowledgeable and experienced with when I'm old enough to buy them. Around half a year at the moment :| .
  16. Good thing you reminded me of the lightning. I was probably gonna play 10 if it wasn't for you mentioning that. :P I'd recommend 6, 7, 9, or maybe even 1. Whatever you do, don't play 8 first. That one is a lot different than all the other numbered games, so you wouldn't really be getting a true taste of what Final Fantasy is about. 8 is definitely different, but that's kinda why I like it so much. I really like the graphics style in it, as well as the junction system (though I didn't really understand how to use it until my third play-through  ). I'd say that X is a great game to start on, though. It won't completely turn off people who want more realistic graphics, plus the story as well as the battle system are great and, compared to some of the other FF's, easy to understand.
  17. Just pre-ordered it through Steam, though unfortunately I won't be here for the July 31st beta. Can't wait to play in August though.
  18. This is what every fan says, every time a new game-to-movie is made. They're always left disappointed.
  19. He's probably only left the ball there so that he'd know if you'd taken it. If he's as grouchy as you say he is, he'd probably come right over and make trouble once he sees that it's gone. That's one thing to think about.
  20. This looks like alot of fun, it's been a while since I've played a new MMO. When does it officially launch in the U.S.?
  21. For those of you that ever play with a slide, which tuning do you usually play in, or find to be easier? I've only tried standard and open d so far, and I can get some nice blues licks and things of the sort out of that, but I'd definitely like something a bit different to play around with.
  22. It's illegal no matter what, but honestly, if you're asking people on a forum it seems like your answer's already pretty clear in front of you. No, it is not ok, but does it matter? Probably not. And most modern computers can run Morrowind as far as I know, unless you meant Oblivion, which is quite a bit heavier on your computer's resources.
  23. A friend of mine was technically dead for a short amount of time. Suicide. What he told me matches with what many of you have been saying throughout the thread: he lost consciousness, and the next thing he knew he woke up in the hospital. Like a dreamless sleep. I find that to be almost comforting, that I'll just cease to exist. No worries. No thoughts. Nothing. Right now it seems a bit scary, like some ominous cloud hanging over my life, like I'm just waiting to get rained on. But I'm hoping, that in 50 or 60 years when I've lived my life, the idea of nothingness won't be so so bad. When I think about all of this heaven and hell business, or other theories comparable, it seems alot scarier to believe I'll be conscious forever, no down time or anything. I guess, personally, the best alternative would be reincarnation. But anyways, on topic, I voted for nothingness.
