the best guitarists ever?
Steve Howe's been one of my favorites since first discovering Yes, and he's a huge inspiration to me. I'd say he's the best guitarist in my eyes...but I also love Jimi, Ritchie Blackmore, Duane Allman, all the good old guys. Rick Witkowski anyone? :D Definitely one of my favorite guitarists right now. [hide=]Steve Howe YgmYNi5Nnsk [/hide] [hide=]Rick Witkowski...(Crack the Sky) x8_aIHXWkH0 [/hide]

RIP Isaac Hayes, dead at 65
I swear to god if Samuel L. Jackson dies in the next 10 years I will go into my room crying my freaking eyes out. I'll cry no matter what when mah boi Sam Jackson dies. Shame that Bernie and Isaac died in the same week though...

Drop it. It never hit the ground -Philosophy-
I think that what you're forgetting is that math is not necessarily always true, or always a reality. The pencil touching the ground after I've dropped it is reality, mathematics are ideas that humans have created to try and define these occurences, and although they've done a damn good job, there are still flaws.

Chrono Trigger DS?
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised. They've already remade FFIII and IV, so why not milk another game for all it's worth (I mean that in the best way possible ;) ). Hopefully, they would go ahead and actually remake the game instead of just porting it...either way, I can't wait if it does turn out to be true...or it could be a new game entirely. Oh, and where did you find the link to that site? I'm looking on SE's main site and don't see anything.

What do YOU think is the best console/platform?
It pretty much struggles to play them all. I enjoy the NDS homebrew scene more. While the PSP does have better software the NDS's touch screen lends its self very well to homebrew games. How well do the PS1 / N64 emulators work though? I was under the impression that they were pretty slow. Pretty much VERY slow. And im voting pc. It is a platform just because it doesn't have local multi doesn't mean its not. Actually, you don't need a PS1 emulator, all you need is an .iso and a large memory stick. The games run perfectly with sound, depeding on which popsloader you're running. If you were just talking about N64 emulators, then yea, most of the games run pretty slow at the moment. However, Super Mario 64 runs almost perfectly, sometimes too fast on Daedalus v13 (without sound). If I were talking about playing games in general, I'd say PC. As for game consoles...PS3. I can play PS1, PS2, PSP and PS3 games on it, watch Blu-Ray movies, download extras including original/full games, put music on it, install Linux, there's an internet browser, wireless, comfortable motion sensitive controller, and it's the most powerful console to date (not including PC).

Get Smart
Carlin and Hicks are two of the best comedians, and they've definitely got talent. But I don't think it's fair to say that Steve Carell has no talent (though saying that about Cook is definitely ok). He pretty much created the character of Michael Scott in the office, with all the little things he does as a character. Not sure he'd be any good at stand up though...sitcom and stand up are completely different.

The song that got you into your favourite...
When I was younger my dad would play Thin Lizzy in the car non-stop, so I guess that's what got me into classic rock earlier on. Queen was the biggest push into the classic rock genre for me I guess. Bohemian Rhapsody was the ultimate to me back in middle school, when I'd just started getting into music seriously. As to which song got me into my favorite band, Yes' Roundabout introduced me to their music, the rest is history. :

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
You have to create a virtual memory card on your PS3. Oh, never mind, they do make an adapter. $15 at Best Buy, I'll probably go get one.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Best game I've played in a long time. Gameplay: 10/10, Story: 10/10, Graphics: 10/10, Replayability: 10/10. When this game came out, I decided it was time to go ahead and buy a PS3. I was not disappointed at all. At the beginning of the game I was feeling a bit let down, but once I got adjusted to the difficulty and started playing smarter, I couldn't put it down. [hide=]And I really did shed a tear when Big Boss saluted the Boss's grave at thet end, very emotional moment. Using the last of the energy he had before he died to properly honor his idol that he himself had killed, one of the most moving moments in any game I've played.[/hide]

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
I plan on buying the 80GB PS3-MGS4 bundle from Best Buy as soon as I can sell my 360...can't wait. :D

Do you own any gaming gems? (some interesting reads)
I own Final Fantasy VII...greatest hits though. :( And I wouldn't sell it. I have a friend that has one of those Bust-A-Groove games.

The Ultimate Band (make your own!)
I lol'd, big time.

Favorite Video Game Ending?
Final Fantasy X ending was epic, probably my favorite in the series (though extremely sad too).

A debate, Heart or Brain?
I always think before I say/do anything (with few exceptions) so I guess I'd have to say my brain. It's kept me out of many bad situations, but has also kept me from experiencing many great experiences. I wouldn't change it though.

What shows should/shouldn't have been cancelled/ended?
One show that I really don't want to see cancelled is Journeyman...if the writer's strike goes on longer there's a chance it might come back for antoher season, so I've kinda got mixed feelings on the strike. I don't think many of the shows I watch will be affected by it (though someone said something about Prison Break...what's going on there?), other than being put on late. Shows that shouldn't have been cancelled...Firefly's probably the one that I would most want to see come back. That show was excellent. And lucky for us that Family Guy's cancellation didn't turn out to be permanent.

Any tips for a guitar newb?
If you want an easy way to solo, just learn some scales (pentatonic would probably be best for soloing). And also as someone else said, alternate picking.

have you ever broke the rules?
I lol'd. In elementary school my mom always told me that if I did one bad thing, I'd get sent to the principal's office...I can think of one time that I did something kinda bad, and it was in 4th grade. I came up to two kids that were best friends and asked them if they were gay (having only a vague idea as to what the true meaning of the word was). My teacher had to talk with me about it, but no punishments. :-w I also got yelled at in 8th grade, band, when I brought my iPod in. That rule is so pointless, I can't understand why the teachers actually enforce it. Oh well.

What is a word? and Any point to this?
There wouldn't really be much of a point to organized thoughts if we didn't have a spoken language. How would we ever communicate them?

Seinfeld
That kid was excellent in that part. Probably the best part of that episode

Warner Bro's becoming Blu-Ray exclusive
Could it be...that the PS3 might actually pull out of its slump? :o Well, big slap in the face for PS3 haters if it does. I hope to be getting a PS3 by the end of the year, but I'll be sticking with DVD's for as long as possible...they're cheaper, plus I mainly rent movies I want to see (MVP at Hollywood vid. ftw). So hopefully renting places would start stocking Blu-Ray movies fairly soon.

Homosexuality - Gay Bashing?
Sexual orientation is a personal decision, so I can't see why anyone should be made fun of for it. I mean, of course people are harassed because of their sexual orientation every day, and I don't think there's really much anyone can do to stop it, other than not calling homosexual's or bi's "gay" or other names in spite.

Question
Yea, I'd say when you do get it recorded, just edit your first post with a youtube link to it. That'd be the best way to do it. Maybe we should ask a mod to make a sticky where we can post ourselves playing various instruments? Or where we can post our bands playing or something? I dunno.
