harryp0tt3rules
Is there a good way to clean the fans on the bottom of a laptop? There has been dust accumulating, and I would like to remove it. Thank you.
madman6510
Get a can of compressed air and blow it out. Retired
harryp0tt3rules
Get a can of compressed air and blow it out. Tried it, it just blows the dust into the fan, causing it to accumulate worse on the area.

Cruiser
Open the case and blow it out from the inside. Most laptop cases aren't the easiest of things to open. :? Compressed air is still by far the easiest way to clean the dust out, even if takes more than one can. Blowing air both forward and backward through both fan ports will do the best job. It may not get it all right away but it will break it up and still help get it out.

Some people might advise against it, but it worked for me. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
Doomster
A vacuum, preferably variable power and not up too high, and do not press the nozzle completely to the grille, or you could stress the fan bearings.
JoeDaStudd
Use a vac, but make a small paper cone and use it to aim into the fan intake/output holes Kinda like this: | | <--Vac end \ / \ / |_|_|_| <-Laptop fan grill The paper stops the the vac end damaging the grill or fan, and directs the suction to the end.
