Should I cut willows? Or should I cut Yews?

Featured Replies

I'm looking to power cut around 18k willows for 80 woodcutting, 70 fletching and firemaking. The draynor trees aren't good due to autoers. Any advice as where to cut willows near a bank with trees that usually only have a few people? Only place I can think of is catherby. Any other advice? Help appreciated, stats in sig.

edit: know willow places which fit my requirements, would like to know people's opinions of whether it would benefit me more cutting around 6.7k yews and selling, then buying 18k willows and keeping the rest or 17.8k willows.

Behind the Seers bank, to the Northwest, you'll find, like, 4 Willows.

Catherbery is a good place , but draynor is still better. In members world there arent taht much autoers . I cut my williws there and it goes very fast .

Try the willows outside barbarian assault. There's usually nobody there :)

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Thanks for the replies. I've used seers willows in te past but I forgot about them. I've never tried the barb assault ones so I'll look into that. I always seem to be unlucky at Draynor whenever I'm there there are 4+ cutters, not necisarily (sp?) autoers but still too crowded. Also opinions please on whether I'd benefit more by cutting yews and selling then buying willows. Thanks for advice.

Willows till 75, then yews...

Depends If you want Cash, Speed or money. If you want Cash go with Yews , Speed Willows. If I was you i'd do A bit of both.

I was thinking of doing that. Yews may get me faster exp at 75 than willows if I cut in the right place (edgeville).

I'm thinking of doing both. Both of your ideas are good but I'm mainly in it for the experience and whatever cash is leftover.

willows mate - i cut them to level wc really fast (or was a year ago if they have changed) :)

If you want quick experience, cut willows in draynor village.

If you want cash, cut yews until around 90 woodcutting, and then go cut magic logs at Lletya.

You could also cut maple logs in seers village, because it gives you decent firemaking experience too.

It's advisable to buy a Dragon woodcut axe, because it increases your speed.

i've found alot better willow tree place then draynor or camelot, its just outside the barbarian outpost mini game, there are 4 willow tree's and inside is a bank deposit place, im 63 woodcutting and it takes me around 2:10 minutes to get a full invent and walking to the deposit place takes around 5 seconds?
