My avatar didn't work out 'cuz I saved it with a jpeg.

 

 

 

So now Im guna try making a pixel sig, I'm not sure how to continue on the avatar so heres what I have so far.

here's the problem with the halo game... If you were on a ring like that, and you looked in the direction of the ring, so that... your gaze intercepted the ring, you couldn't see it. It'd be too far away to see it, and you would never be able to see the top of it if you looked up, like you can in the game.

Umm... What if it was the smallest of the 7 Halos, and that part of the ring is in a light shadow

It just doesnt look real enough from that view. Maybe make the view looking from a bit to the side. Also, the trees, lake look a bit too big, from what I remember, Halo rings were huge. So you might wanna work on that. Other than that, its looking good so far :)

Sorry for the late responce, Im new to making pixel avatars and sigs so could you explain why jpg is bad and how I can change it if possible?

it has horrible quality....

 

 

 

makes lots of colors

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

on a png or bmp the read would cover the entire area that is green because its only 1 shade

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

but with jpg you lose quality and color

spend lots of time recoloring it and save it as a png

Ok, I'm just guna drop the halo avatar. Im guna work on the siggy, that one isn't jpeg.

That isn't pixel..

Sorry to say but AGAIN JPG! i think i know how tht comes, do you maybe save it on your pc as bmp? if so before u upload it save it as a png becuase imageshack and other uploading sites don't upload bmp and make it jpg.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So... i think thats the problem with the jpg and such.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh yeah u wanted to know what is the difference: with png u hold in about 95% of all pixels the same color and pretty low filesize, but when u save a pixel as jpg all colors gonna mess up, the lines and such disapear and u get realy strange "pixels" of it :wink:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I hope that explains a bit about why to save as png.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and as far as the pixel everything looks flat and is just color to color strokes everytime a bit lighter. (we call that pile shading but also other names dunno realy). Also the tree looks flat and a bit like how a 6 year old would draw it on paper :oops: . You could make it on a lot of ways but i dont think u would read everything i have to say about making tree's -.- (a bit boring and realy much).

 

 

 

And the horizon needs to be more a straight line exept when u want to make a hill but i would to that to kuch in a first pixel signature. Personally i think u could the horizon a more straight line in this sig because it looks a bit better and u dont have to do a great job of shading the hills.

 

 

 

Also a realy big problem is that i never heard of a small tree thats bigger then a castle :wall: :-# .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also the last thing in this post is that i recommand to try out some of the pixel tutorials here on the forums and on other sites. I dont realy know much pixel tutorial sites but this 1 realy is good for a beginner http://www.spriteart.com/ just search until u find a tutorial u think u could realy use.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also i hope that some others like pjb just to say a name maybe knows more good pixel tutorial sites.
