February 11, 200719 yr should i buy the cannon and does it need a ranged lvl to use (im lvl 2) i got over 3 mill is it worth it? and what quest do u do to get it
February 11, 200719 yr should i buy the cannon IMO, it's not worth it. For the cost of one cannonball, you could buy 8 iron arrows. Plus with arrows, you can pick them up and reuse them. for the cost of one cannonball, you could have 15-20 shots with iron arrows if you pick them up. and does it need a ranged lvl to use (im lvl 2) It does not require a ranging level, no. i got over 3 mill is it worth it? I don't think so. The xp you get is only 1 or 2 per hit (hit 20, get 20xp) and what quest do u do to get it Dwarf Cannon is the only quest you need to complete.
February 11, 200719 yr I'm not sure if there's a range requirment. But I'm pretty sure the quest to use it is called Dwarf Cannon Quest. Hope I could help. :D 269 QP | All Stats 60+ (except Summoning) | Barrows Drops: 8 | Dragon Drops: 1
February 11, 200719 yr Cannonballs give 2XP per hit instead of 4XP per arrow. They do a random 1-30 per hit. I find they do an average of 12 hits/24 XP per cannonball (you do occasionally miss, ergo the average of 12 instead of 15). I do not think/know if your ability to hit with a cannon is affected by your range level. I do not think it is. I think the cannon operates totally independent of your range level. You get the XP very fast, as the cannon shoots far faster than any bow, and the average damage far surpasses a bow. And you get no HP XP. Depending upon the build you're looking for, that is a plus or a minus. 3 million gp would get you a cannon and about 320K Range XP (2-61 Ranged) in about 3-4 hours. I have no idea how long it would take to get that much range XP with a bow and iron arrows the normal way. I'm thinking maybe 30-50 hours. Can you make 2.4 million back with the 25-45 hours you save? I would say yes. Just smelt cannonballs, and you can make 80-100K/hour, so... I would say "heck yes" if you have 3 million at this point to do it with. I wish I had know this sooner.
February 11, 200719 yr It depends how much your time is worth. Cannons are a heck of a lot faster than arrows, but arrows are much cheaper. But if the time that it saves you to use the cannon could be used to make back money you use (You should know how much your time is worth), go ahead. I think you hit less often with a lower range level, though. HelloI'm not skilled enough to make a siggy! W00t! Working on it.
