February 16, 200719 yr Hello, Just like to ask a few questions on wall safes. 1. Good exp for my level? 2. Possible to just stand there and do the wall safe or do other activities have to be done too? 3. Where are they located? Thanks.
February 16, 200719 yr 1. Great xp 2. Cracking wall safes can be easily failed at your level, so you will have to keep moving from one to the next. 3. Rogues Den (next to the entrance, the big square in the middle).
February 16, 200719 yr 1. I thought you had to be level 50 to do the wall safes as well as the maze. But I'm probably wrong. But they are very good xp. 2. You just click on the safe and wait to open it, nothing else to be done. What I did was click on one, once opened clicked the one next to it. Going back and forth with no respawn time (which isn't much) at all. 3. Rogue's den, under the pub in Burthrope. There is a trapdoor next to the bartender. The wall safes are in the big rock in the middle of that room you go down into. If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.[hide=My Stats][/hide]
February 16, 200719 yr 1. Well, if I recall correctly, they require 50 thieving to begin cracking anyways. So no, not for your level, seeing as your Thieving is only 43. But once you get it up to 50, it's great. Wall Safes aren't the best experience, but they provide plenty of gems and cash for crafting/selling. 2. You have to click on them to begin cracking the safe. The actual process takes only a few seconds, and you have a chance of failing and being damaged. So you'll need to watch your health... You could do other things, but I wouldn't recommend it. 3. They are located in the Rogues Den, under the bar in Burthope. The Rogues Den is the best place for cooking, seeing as there is a banker and a fire steps away from each other. ~Lunar *EDIT* Darn.. Jake beat me to it by a minute! Curse my overly-detailed explanation! :XD: Retired Tip.It Mod || Admin and Founder of Caesar 3 Mod Squad! All are welcome!
February 16, 200719 yr Even at lvl 50 you can fail fairly often. Failing = a new floor trap & a little hp damage. However, if you stay in the same spot, you don't have to disable the floor trap. I've found it better to just stay put, as the reswpawn rate is faster than I can get to the other safe and open it. A final tip is to use a stethoscope on the safes. You'll have a greater success rate with one. (Purchased right there in the Den.) Tau Come visit and have your say.The site made by the players for the players.
February 16, 200719 yr A final tip is to use a stethoscope on the safes. You'll have a greater success rate with one. (Purchased right there in the Den.) One word of caution, you need 50 agility to be able to buy the stethoscope, however I've not been using it and have fair luck. The real plus is the high respawn rate and the gems as reward. The safes are faster then cakes and you'll get more craftable gems from them then mining at shilo rocks.

Thanks for the agility combo information. I didn't know that. Tau Come visit and have your say.The site made by the players for the players.

Do you have to use the stethoscope with it, or just have it in your inventory for higher success? February 16, 200719 yr You do have to "use" the stethoscope with the safe. I haven't kept track of the exact % between success rates, sorry. Tau Come visit and have your say.The site made by the players for the players.
February 16, 200719 yr I've never done any kind of official study using the stethoscope, but at levels 54-56 I noticed a dramatic difference. It may become less useful as you become a better and better thief, but it has been very useful for me. That being said, it's more of a hassle to "Use" the stethoscope with the wall safe than it is to simply click on the safe. I'm looking forward to when I can just click on it :D
