Well, if you really want to know what the SODB is, the whole story then being a co-creator of it, this is it's story.

Last summer, June 1, 2006, if memory serves, Buddybear200, Fearspudgod, LordSoultar, and I (Captianant) were all incredibly bored. We didnt really know eachother all that well at the time, but we knew eachother by aquaintence (sp? lol). So, being incredibly bored and wanting to kill something big and dangerous (maybe a little beastly, too : ), we decided to go after the KBD. The first trip was a ton-o-fun, and we slowly started to get more people coming to the events. Eventually, we made a thread on these forums to help make a kind of meeting place where we could post when events were.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Time went on, and we eventually graduated to our own forums (a link to em is in my siggy, if ya wanna check it out), where things gained more momentum. We suddenly got flooded with new members, and not enough leadership and things started to get a little..... not so amazing. As time went on, we established some rules to help controll the huge influx of new members, and try and get new leadership. Time went on, and things started to get a little more not so amazing, because of the need to protect the longtime members from people who wanted to go on trips just to cause deaths and get phr33 st00fs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Eventually, we had to shut everything down and completely re-engineer how we do things. This included getting rid of people who were no longer active, and dis-allowing any new members to join the group. Now, we have re-opened, and are now hosting our grand-re-opening event tomorrow! Sadly, I be unable to attend, so no ants at this picnic :( .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Currently, we're trying to figure out a good system for allowing new members to come and still keep the comunity of close-knit freinds (since, afterall, thats how the SODB started :D ). I'm not sure exactly when it'll be finished, but we're nearing the end of the process.
