  1. Ah, I thought it started at 10AM on Friday... Carry on, nothing to see here!
  2. So I have a question... I'm a member and it's after July 6th, and it's a weekend... Why am I unable to access the beta atm?
  3. Combat is gonna suck HARD on a laggy server though. And random FPS drops will spell death at bosses
  4. to those of you not at work - how's the fight? Is it the sort of thing where I could walk in there and understand what I should be doing immediately, or is there some nuances to watch out for?
  5. Worse than Pernix from what I can tell. I'm fine with an armor that's not as good a Pernix, so long as it is comparable/slightly better than Arma.
  6. Maaaaaaaaan I hate that I'm in the middle of a project at work atm.... I guess I'll have to find some time tomorrow or my day off to stomp the QBD
  7. It's times like this that I'm very glad that I've put off questing for so long haha.
  8. i dont bring 1-click tele to dks cause a misclick can ruin ur trip. I just put my one-click tele in a corner of my inv and organize so that things that I don't click often are around it. Haven't had any problems so far with it =D
  9. my biggest frustration with the FPS drop is that I can run SWTOR on all high settings with AA and maintain a solid 45-50FPS, and yet in RS I'm lucky to break 25. There is something incredibly borked in the RS engine.
  10. I'm surprised that a weapon that requires 80 slayer and 85 attack to use is inferior to the rapier to be honest. 80 dg takes a week with dgs or (lord help you) 2 weeks with w117, it's not exactly a long skill to train. Slayer on the other hand, usually is at least a few days between levels if you're not nolifing it. Also, 85 attack is well, higher than 80 attack. I was just under the impression that more rigorous stats to wield inherently meant a better weapon. I guess I'll look forward to the lv90 tier of gear being worse than chaotics then.
  11. No step above prossy armor?? =( Drat.
  12. Although hasn't Jagex nerfed the drop rate of boss-monster drops for a week or two at a time? Specifically after the ROW hurp-durp by jamflex?
  13. Well, how often does jagex release an update that doesn't cause a major bug? About half the time? That's a terrible track record for a "major" games development company and makes massive skepticism reasonable
  14. Are we supposed to get any bonus points for the introduction of the program? It seems kinda pointless to have a sale if I can only buy one thing...
  15. Running with the idea of a captcha, it would exponentially increase the difficulty of scanning and interpreting the captcha if the letter each moved and rotated (along the y or z axis for example) in a word. I've worked with a prof at my university with that sort of software (computational linguistics stuff - getting computers to understand written language) and at the research level it's still tough to get a program to have even a 40% success rate, much less be even close with the interpretation. And it wouldn't even have to be that bad, just anytime you're leaving a random event you have to do one of those captchas. Your time has already been intruded upon by the random, so what's an extra 5 seconds going to be for the honest user? It's frustrating to see (what appears to be) such a one-dimensional approach taken by jamflex when there's an entire world of possibilities that they haven't tapped yet because they're too busy pushing out updates that have the shoddiest bug and stress testing this side of the galactic plane
  16. Potato cactus at 1.8k ea? Bots love that kinda collection thing
  17. I thought the ability to create runes was simply taking a sort of magic-sponge (essence) to a place where a certain kind of magic overflowed (altar) and it was temporarily capturing that power to be released later as magic. The Stone of Jas (SOJ) however if I understand is the root of this magic, so if simple rocks by being near the SOJ became magic sponges, why couldn't we the player receive some sort of additional tendency with magic? Granted the Moonclan had more time to be around it hence their more magical state, but any player that has been in contact with the stone should theoretically have a marked improvement in magical ability (not just a paltry XP reward, some sort of tangible, real effect like SOL's rune saving effect for example)
  18. I don't like cliche plot devices either :P I thought Zamorak achieved godhood by him and someone else (Saradomin?) being stabbed through by the staff of Armadyl and the staff acting as a conduit for the power that Zamorak recieved
  19. I disagree. What's so exciting about mindlessly hammering away on your mousekeys? The change to make-x is fantastic IMO. It keeps players (like myself for example) from going insane and/or getting carpal tunnel training mundane skills.
  20. I always have a tab of my bank filled with Uri Emote items (is probably about 1/8 of my bank tbh) since I do a clue pretty much every time I log on. I also always cut my gems and keep my pots decanted to 4dose (except for extreme/ovl ingredient-pots) and save on some bankspace that way. Also, when I'm skilling I move everything that's associated with what I'm doing to a bank tab and have all the items close to eachother to minimize clicks/mouse movement.
  21. Back in classic, first thing I did was I did a duel (ya know, the kind where you could start one ANYWHERE). Then I started thieving from everything I could find marveling at the free money haha
  22. All I did was put up a bunch of offers on stuff I thought people might ragesell at a low price... and Dharok axe was one of the items that worked for me =p

It took 2 months for the axes to buy though haha

  23. Also, if you're on the official Jagex login page, you'll see a box like this: ONLY TYPE YOUR USERNAME AND PW IN IF IT HAS THAT GREEN BOX!!
