What's the first thing you do (did) when you get (got) members?

Featured Replies

You know that moment. Either the first time, or the 7th. You hit confirm and a whole new world opened up. Runescape was at its personal peak for everyone when everything was a mystery. What were the first things you bought? The first things you went to see?

What about when you returned to members? Was it all new? Tell us what you think.

Got a friend to show me around via Catherby, Seers village could've been the most mysterious place in the world! Oh and... fishing lobsters outside of Karamja?!

First thing I ever did was get Lost City done.

Now whenever I get members, if I'm not in a clan fight, I check my herbs and kingdom.

A friend showed me to Seers and I did the first Elemental Workshop. Then I got 55 fletching on my first day and didn't bother training it again for a long while

I died in the wildy? What else would a 12/13 year old do?

Luck be a Lady

I went through the gates at taverly. I logged out right in front of them so i could after i bought membership. Then i went and fletched my first arrows.

I think I headed over to Camelot. Then I started to quest like crazy, trying to unlock as many new locations as I could. Oh, and let's not forget Lost City for the epicness that is the Dragon longsword! icon_thumbs.gif

IIRC, I completed the Witch's House quest as soon as I could. The members' gate between Falador and Taverley had always fascinated me, and the quest icon I could see just beyond it eventually drove me to becoming a member. This was before I started using fansites or had any experienced friends to tell me much about RS, so I knew very little about the P2P world. I should also mention that I was ~12 years old at the time, and was completely taken with this game. Hahah. :P

I think I did the Witch's House quest. I remember I was in the Dwarven Mines under Ice Mountain when I got it. Good times.

Stop thinking. It's Runescape.

My story exactly.

I'm pretty sure I tried out some of the skills like thieving, fletching, herb, and agi.

Got me some fresh Druid Robes then explored.

First day I got members I got scammed out of a rune gilded set for a dragon longsword because I had no clue what it was/how much it was worth/what I needed to do to use it.

Went to castle wars. Owned some level 40 noobs with my level 50 ness and rune scim...lol...

Actually I take that back, the first thing I did was get lost on white wolf mountain en route to castle wars from falador. Stuck there for a day... Why couldn't I climb down that cliff into Catherby?

Honestly, the first thing i EVER did was pickpocket a man in Lumb. I came out of tutorial island, (going back to like 2005), got annoyed i couldn't pickpocket a man, so got member about 5 minutes after logging in for the first time ever.

Then the rest just went from there i guess. If i recall, i dont think i even left Lumby till about level 30. I thought RS was one city lol

Went to castle wars and played a game or 2 then the duel arena and then back to castle wars for the rest of the night.

I don't have members anymore (play on F2P), but I remember I played Castle Wars and loved it.

Opened the members gate. Then bought those small little short things.

My first priority for members was to train agility. I got stuck walking so often that I figured running more often should speed everything else up.

At the time, it was quite the adventure to make my way all the way across the map to the gnome stronghold, and then afterwards to journey to the agility pyramid past crocodiles and killer heat. I had to bring lots of food to the agility pyramid since only a few falls put me in danger of dying :D.
