Yep, and I think I just figured out why...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Notes: "Holy mole-y!"

 

 

 

After reaching half health or below, the mole routinely digs underground and resurfaces at different areas. Bring energy potions if you plan on chasing its resurface points. Also bring a tinderbox, the mole can throw up mud and put out your light source (but it can't be put out if it is a very covered light source).

 

 

 

The mole hides and claws can be traded to Wyson the Gardener (in east Falador park) in exchange for bird nests. Each skin/claw will get you 1 bird nest and the nest can have: nothing, an unenchanted ring, a few of one vegetable or herb seed, or a tree seed (for fruit or cuttable trees).

 

 

 

The mole has high magic defence and for that reason ranging or meleeing are more effective methods for killing it. It is also recommended that you have high prayer or good food (the mole can hit into the 20s).

 

 

 

Poisoning the mole is a helpful tactic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It searched the whole thing and saw "bird" from "bird nest" and probably triggered it that way.
