Which is fastest? (mage lvl)

Featured Replies

my mage lvl is currently 53 (check sig for any update in the lvl), i was wondering, what would be the fastest, yet cheapest way to lvl it up to 70? I need like 20k curses to get it to 70 (would just fail curse), but that would take a while to cast 20k curses, what other ways are there that are fast? (i dont have a lot of things to high alch so that probably wouldn't be the best option)

A nice and really cheap way of doing it would be to craft/buy strikes or bolts and kill something easy to hit, like guards (good for clue drops). That way it isn't as boring as cursing, yet it's not too expensive.

That is a great thing to do, or you could kill metal drags and hope for D legs, skirt or med and they drop lvl 3 clues. This is great fun and I love to do it \'

anti dragonfire shields w/ anti d fire potions, stand a bit away from the dragon and they'll use range firebreath, but hit nothing but zeros, no matter what your combat, thanks to the potions/shield. Then just mage them wearing something like mystic. Beware, you will fail a LOT. It usually takes around 7k worth of runes with bolt spells + chaos guantlets.

It was expensive, until I could craft nats - then it became more time consuming, but I went from around 40 to 68 almost exclusively on superheat. I don't know, probably not the best way to go but if you got the ores and got the natures... getting smithing exp along with it is a nice bonus too.

i used curse to 55, then alched, but since alching isn't a good way for you, i would do strikes on something like black dragons from a safe spot
