So, yes... Trying this thing again...

It's a Greycoat. They're the secret police in the largest city of my D&D campaign setting.

Maybe try using a higher opacity? Right now it looks like th eopacity is really low, which makes it look pretty messy. Using a higher opacity and low flow gives it a cleaner look, I think. But maybe that's just a personal preference :-k

In addition, I think the coat could use a bit more drastic shading. Maybe more highlights on the top, like on his shoulders.

Other than that, it looks pretty good though. The lineart looks nice and I like the colours.

The colors look really good on this. His left arm looks a little off..I think it is the particular pattern in the fabric that is not working, especially where the bicep attaches to the forearm.

I don't know as I have an issue with the opacity. This just has a more rough feel to it.

Good work.

Incidentally, are there a lot of firearms that small in D&D? Or are you just using the sytem within a different era?

I'm using a homebrew campaign setting.

And yes, I'll try something different about the colours next time. Right now I'm overlaying the colours on a layer of black and white shading.

I'm overlaying with standard brushes. The way I do it now, I actually have four or so layers of shading and colour: one for the black and white, one for a "base", one for highlights and another for the background.
