I have finished the quest (Contact) and got the dagger, but what is it used for?

its bascially a dds that hits harder on kalphites, you can poison it too

Use it when killing any Kalphites besides the queen. It does wonder random damage. Otherwise, stick with what you've got.

It's a dagger with a special ability against Kalphites. It's activated at random and does insane damage (I believe 4x normal?). It usually only occurs every couple minutes though.

it also works at every the monsters you met in the quest, in the pyramid, as they are beetles though, so any bigger bug in the game is weak to it (not harpie bug swarms and scarabs, as they are that small)
