Lemurian
Okay, before you all come with "It's because of the fairies"-jokes, let me tell you how it is. I grow onions and Rannar while Lobbying over in Catherby. It began perfect on the first seven seeds, getting 8-10 rannars on one single seed and well over 10-12 Onions. I always used Supercompost and Enchanted Secateurs. Now, suddenly, I get much less. Is this random or am I doing something wrong? Owner of Quest Cape since 11/9/2007 23:30! Working my butt off to get it back.
Captainkidd
It's because of the farming fairies duh... Its random, your doing the best you can for getting the most from a seed just the virtual luck isn't with you :
Mamong
I've farmed hundreds of Ranarr seeds, and I averaged out at 6-7 Ranarr per patch with both the SuperCompost and Magic Secatuers. Sometimes, you get lucky, but even still, 6-7 ranarr is a good profit per seed. [Tip.It Mod][Retired][Add your Steam name here!]
Dexek
It is random I suppose.. but I would like to believe your farming level has an effect. I have farmed quite a few Ranarrs.. I only use supercompost, no magic sacteurs. From every plant I have gotten exactly 7 Ranarr herbs. I suppose you could say it is random.. except for the fact that I get 7 every time. PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
ikraz66
higher lvl allotment seeds also seem to give more yield than low ones. For instance, when i grow watermelons, i've gotten over 40 combined from both patches in one location. With strawberries, my max is about 30. With sweetcorn, its even lower. For instance, when i grow watermelons, i've gotten over 40 combined from both patches in one location. With strawberries, my max is about 30. With sweetcorn, its even lower. I disagree with this. I must admit I have not farmed the lower level allotment seeds for quite a while, but with sweetcorn, strawberries and watermelons (super compost and magic secateurs) it varies a LOT. For example I had some very good strawberriy yield this morning, 77 strawberries from 2 patches combined, I think that is something of a record for me. I also had some good and some bad watermelon harvests, and same for sweetcorn. Minimum 5 herbs (doesnt happen often), most of the time 6 or 7, sometimes more, sometimes very good. No difference if I grow torstol or toadflax. So yeah, it is random. Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)
Harrington
I'm farming level 82, and I honestly don't see any difference on either survivability or crop yields even at my level. It truly is completely random, that is to say.... unfair, in my opinion.
