February 27, 200719 yr Hello all. Is there a way to buy all materials and alch and make little profit? Also I'm not too bothered if I lose a bit of GP... So, what's the most common technique for alching? Thanks.

Well I will re-post since you didn't understand what I meant :) . As stated in my guide (In my last post) if you buy all the meterials & alch at around these prices you should be safe: Yew longbow(s)- 525-575gp Nature Rune- 250-350gp (Or 225 from Rogue Trader!)* Yew Longbow Alched- 768gp *If you have completed the Rogue Trader Minigame, and have access to Ali's non-elemental runes, you can world hop, and buy lots of nature runes for only 225gp each! (This can take a little while though.) If you buy the Natures from Ali, you can acually make a slight profit off of this. February 27, 200719 yr *Sigh You don't have to make them, you can buy them. However it is a better profit if you make them. If you are intent upon buying them however, you can still make a slight profit! February 27, 200719 yr I think he means buying all the items, not the raw materials. Meaning, he doesn't want to be bothered with having to make the bows himself. Keeping that in mind, I don't think there is a single item you can alch right away, buying the item and nats, and still make a profit. If you do it like that, I think you will always lose at least a little gp. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
February 27, 200719 yr Prices of items in the player to player economy tend to have a hard lower bound driven by their high-alch value. There is no point a player selling bulk loads of items for less than they can alch them for. Unless of course the alch value is less than the cost of buying nature runes or the money to be made by selling nature runes.
February 27, 200719 yr Just make everything from scratch. Mine your pure essence and make nature runes. Chop your logs (maple, yew, whatever) and fletch them to strung longbows. Then high alch. This will take a while to do but will maximize your profit and give you valuable skill experience. One other method is to ask some of your friends to help you and share some of the profit. Four people, splitting the task of mining pure essence, chopping logs and picking flax helps speed things up. If you work as a team and help each other train skills, you'll become more efficient. Happy skilling! :) Knowledge is Power; a Tip.it guide answers many commonly asked questions.~Celestrana: Making of a Hero ~ (Visit my blog, today!)
