PhelimReagh Posted March 7, 2007 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Starting "A Fairy Tale Part II", and completing "Holy Grail", gets you access to 9-10 gold rocks right near a Fairy Ring, allowing you to bank in Zanaris. There is also a Gold spawn there as well. As a "smither who mines to smith", I appreciate that little touch. EDIT: and they're pretty much always empty. aoe325 Posted March 7, 2007 Share Posted March 7, 2007 Ok here goes.. The absolute best gold mining spot is Location : The gold mine north-west of brimhaven near the moss giant island. Requirements : The holy grail quest Started Fairy tales part 2 up to the point you get to use the rings ( no farming or herblore needed) The mining spot : It has 10 gold ores + 1 gold ore respawn on the ground. It is next to unknown (if you see someone just world-hop) Nearby bank : Zanaris How to get there : - Grab your dramen/lunar staff and teleport to B J R (3 3 2) - Go to the castle north of you and grab a whistle (skip if you already have one) - Just blow the whistle anywhere in this area to be teleported under a tower, at one click from the gold. Mine your gold and pick the respawns, when you are done go under the tower and blow the whistle, now just go back to the fairy ring. Note : when you come back from zanaris no need to get another whistle, just blow it right away. Hope I helped :) Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07. You need only start "A Fairy Tale Part II", going far enough to get access to the Fairy Ring network. And that comes very early on in the quest. Piman Posted March 8, 2007 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Another option is to do the Between A Rock dwarf quest. Once you finish the quest you get access to a basically inexhaustable gold mine inside the special rock. You can give the gold ores to a boatman close to the site to take to the bank. The Azarian Mines, requires the Between a Rock... quest [hide=Click here for a Map of the Mine][/hide] These mines are only available during and after the Between a Rock quest. You must speak with Dondakan and be wearing a gold helmet to gain access. There are a total of 146 gold ores to mine in both rock and vein forms. A dwarven boatman to the east of Dondakan will ferry your gold to the Keldagrim bank for a small fee of gold ore depending on how many you have to take (wearing a Ring of Charos(a) will allow you to reduce the price). By far the most convenient place to mine gold. The Arzinian Being in the middle is only available to kill during the quest. And the only way to leave the mines is by removing the gold helmet. here! I'm 86 mining as of now, and I can honestly say the fairy ring/fisher realm method is about 20% faster than the Azzy mine. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read. I just know I usually had to work hard to get 1k gold ores at Azzy mine and at Brimhaven mine, it was cake. A man who doesn't read, is no smarter than a man who can't read.
