Well, first learn how to ride it without falling off... And I don't know what kind of board you have (such as a Wal-Mart board, or a "real" one), but just start trying to ride it. Then you can check out trick tips online for ollies and such, or just try to learn on your own.

duffed my leg up when the ramp broke

Haha, story for the kids. That's happened to me before. 5 ft quarter and had a clean blunt kickflip out, my back truck broke the wood and I slammed onto my back. I love when carpenters and city officials try to make a skatepark. :wall:

I swear that every time I skate, I hurt one foot/ankle or another.

-.- I actually just messed up my heel like last week. Thought this 7 foot drop was more like 5 and you had to ollie about 4 feet out TO the drop. So I bailed first try and landed wrong on my heel. Started to BURN right away. I'm done for like, at least a month, this one's pretty bad.

I love skating, I am about average with tricks in such. I don't really pratice tricks n' stuff I just go about my day skating along, if I see somthing I can do a trick off I will, Like ollie over a recycling bin, grind a rail (if it isn't to high) and some times I go to the skate park.
