  1. Well, I'm usually a f2p. I become member occasionally. While these arguments are sometimes valid, I believe that the biggest f2p bank space problems are random event stuff and noobness. Noobness can only be solved with experience. At some point in one's runescape career, the adventurer will have to make the descision between the pile of ashes he/she might need, and that rune pickaxe. Tough. Full zombie, full prince, and several mime spaces in my (f2p) account are, well, space consuming. F2p should be allowed a way to store random costumes. Unfortunately, with the release of the P2p costume room, there is no reason why they should allow costume storage. This is yet another incintive to acquire members: "become p2p, store your costumes out-of-bank!" I don't agree with this. There needs to be some regulated way of allow this costume room to be of greater advantage than another way of storing, which should be accessible by f2p.
  2. Well, here's one I find particularly useful..... I am usually a member only during the summer, and I discovered: Your Agility level affects your run energy even when you are f2p! I leveled agility to 50, went f2p, and still reaped the benifits! Woohoo! Very useful.
  3. Well, it's not really a single item, but My friend walked me through rune mysteries.. I mined nothing but Rune essence from level 1 to level 35. Then did Doric's Quest. Then mined more essence. I loved rune essence more than life itself. Of course...that was back when you could sell them 30 each...before the Great Essence Split.......way to crash the market guys....jeez. Oh well. :wall:
  4. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed One Small Favor. Anywho, I haven't tried the Mourning's Quests yet, but to this point, trying to figure out what to do on Ape Atoll your first time there....well...it sucks. So, I vote Monkey Madness until you get that Greegree.
  5. I like the idea overall...the xp may be a little steep, but overall.... And the combat arena, I think that instead of an everyman for himself deal with Kalphites showing up in forts...maybe... Rs should place contestants in two teams for the first round...create even teams, and have like a CW type thing going...each person only gets two lives... The team that holds the "flag" causes the other team to lose 5 hp a min, or something. When one team eliminates the other, then have another round, and perhaps another, then have a free-for all in a different arena. Everyone knows the Combat arena will be heavily populated, so this could weed out the weaker ones, and stop all the 120+'s from teaming... Just a suggestion. Good luck with the idea!
  6. I had this awful fear of wandering into the Wildy and losing my stuff. So I never went North. Ever. I actually was lead, by a friend, to Draynor. Didn't know where I was...tried following the road. Was attacked by a highwayman. Ran south again. I had finally found a bank...so I dared not lead it until my friend would lead me to Varrok...then, the city of dreams.... I cut the Oak tree next to that bank till level 35.
  7. What does f2p need? A strong monster worth fighting... Our best challenge is the greater demon hut in the wildy... Blah. Not a huge dungeon, just a single breed of a few higher-level monsters...
  8. Luring is wrong. I disagree with the morals behind it. Low-lifes who practice it should be shunned by the general public. However, I must side with the "if they're stupid enough..." crowd. If a low-life is crafty enough to lure someone into wildy, good for him/her. The lured is an idiot. Moral / rule two.... whatever. People deserving to lose their stuff doesn't quite sit with me, but then again...being scammed can easily be avoided. VERY EASILY. All it takes to avoid scamming is to THINK whilst playing. Hmm...this guy's offering me 200k more for a semi-valuable object...Check the second trade screen. Hmm...this guy's offering to pay 150k over aking price on my armor! Oh...he wants to trade in wildy... Just think. There are jerks out there. Accept it. Learn to live with it.
  9. Back when I was a member, I got two level one clues from training thieving. The first gave me some laws, an addy full, and a power ammy. It was exciting, my first clue. So the next clue I did took me to talk to three guys. I ended up with 30 body runes and a coif. It was a bad day.
  10. Another great article, Duke. Well researched, well written. Always a pleasure reading an overview of the game I enjoy. I look forward to seeing that article in 2-3 months about the long term impact of Construction.
  11. Another enjoyable article. Good Job, Mr. Freedom. Well thought out, well researched, and well written. I hope to see more articles from you in the future. I, being a math nerd, found you charts and analysis for future predictions very interesting. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
