  1. So... This will be annoying for skillers while it doesn't stop autoÃÆÃâÃâërs? Than it isn't a good idea I'm affraid :( Again, read the first post. If you are calling yourself a woodcutting pure or skiller just so you don't have to obtain at least 40 or better in combat skills, then your no better than the macroers that ruin the game. I feel you should be banned just like the rest of the trash if you only train skills to get gold. Your deviating from the core intention of the game which is to create a fantasy world where you not only perform skills to sustain wealth but also fight for your life at times. I will not miss people who call themself skillers to camoflauge the fact that they use macros. And just so you know, I consider myself a skiller. I have purposely supressed my combat level to stay in line with all of my other skills. I am a skiller that works ALL SKILLS and attempts to keep them all very close to each other.
  2. deyan, I think you missed the point I was trying to make. Even keeping the axe in your inventory would not work since the key would be that even though the axe is in your inventory you still would not be able to use it to cut trees so it could work you would only need to code it properly. Basically you code the tree to not be able to be cut by anything lower than the required axe (just as it checks for your woodcutting level). Next you would need to code the axe to check for the appropriate combat level. Would this get rid of macroers? certainly not totally but it would seriously hinder them being able to mass produce so many.
  3. One way of limiting the tree cutter bots would be to nake a person have to wield a certain level of axe to cut a certain level of tree. bronze-cuts only regular trees-any level can wield iron-cuts oak and lower-requires level 5 combat to wield steel-cuts willow and lower-requires level 15 combat to wield mith-cuts maple and lower-requires level 25 combat to wield addy-cuts yew and lower-requires level 35 combat to wield rune-cuts magic and lower-requires level 40 combat to wield If you had a scale like this it would help limit macroers because it would take more time to develop the character. Any of you that say, I am a woodcutting pure I say bologna your a macroer. Jagex could also do the same thing with mining and fishing. Opposed? Well, realize the majority of players hate macroers, so your vote doesn't count. Face it your the minority and your company in the game would not be missed by true players.
  4. This is purely a debate based entirely on semantics. What does full version actually mean? Full version implies that all expansions and patches are installed and in place. Expansion means a load, or update that contains additional options to give a program full functionality. So these things being said expansion implies an add on pack so purely from this standpoint I would say P2P is full version, F2P is trial version, and the member only areas and items are your actual expansion pack.
  5. I can promise you he looked up your stats first as well and knew that he could own you if you accepted.
  6. d skirt is worth a whole lot less because of the "it's a skirt" mentality. I find it utterly hilarious that all mages don't mind wearing a full length dress merely because they are called robes. It is totally symantics robe=dress dress=robe skirt=kilt kilt=skirt. Same cut, same thing just different name. Wear whatever you feel like wearing, wanna wear hot pants, tube top and tiara? Rock on, truth is I could care less what anyone is wearing as long as it makes them happy.
  7. If you or anyone else wants to find good people to enjoy the game with just look around at some of the clans that have adults in them. There are many out there but most will require someone from within recommending you to be a member. Phoenix Fyre is one that comes to mind and The Balance is for the 30+ age players, Nexus is a junior clan to The Balance but again most of these clans require you to already know a member. But that is easy enough, just go to an event and get to know some of the people. I personally like the skill based clans because the PK scene is just to chaotic for my style of preferred play.
  8. Wakka, that is what the ammy of camelspeak was supposed to be for. Even if it is a bit strange and a pain to recharge it.
  9. I think some of the prices are way out of whack but perhaps Jagex will take a wait and see attitude then make necessary adjustments in time. Who knows? Maybe one day i will be able to afford a demonic throne. However, at those prices I will probably quit playing the game before that occurs. Not to mention, having a huge opulent house is cool to show off to friends but what would the point be in spending millions and millions when only your friends can see? If that is your game a phat would still seem to be the way to show off to the public. Just a few things to think about......
  10. Pretty cool update, quite an expansive skill but I think it needs a little tweaking yet. On the plus side it is actually a skill that will wind up removing money from the RS economy with having to pay to get planks cut for building or buying the special cloth, trees, rooms etc. Not sure if I am crazy about a skill that is more of a money sapper than a money maker but I still like the concept so far. Maybe once I get the construction level up higher there will be ways to generate positive GP flow rather than the negative I have experienced so far. I will give it to level 40-50 and should have a better opinion by then.
  11. I like the idea. Would add yet another area of fun to a growing RS world.
  12. d33, Well be that statement true or false I personally don't care. The fact remains tons of cheating little turds got their just deserves. I will say this much. I love the idea and concept of putting tatlers in cheatware and redistributing to nab them in the act. Some may say this is entrapment but I say hooey!! If you downloaded the cheatware and used it then ou are guilty simple as that. Just like the saying guns don't kill people, people kill people guns are just the tool used. Murder and cheating have been around long before cheatware and guns were invented.
