  1. I would prefer if this new could system could be toggled between this new mechanic and the regular gravestones. Obviously, if one chooses the gravestone method they forfeit any right to complain about lost items when they DC or the server DCs. That would seem to be a fair system to me. I wonder if Void will be nerfed soon.
  2. Haven't been on Tip.It in a long time. Very nice to see some old pictures and a blog of a maxed player. Good luck in all of your goals and go get that Trimmed Comp Cape
  3. Good luck on your quest for 70+ and for the rare 99s! Mining is an excellent start.
  4. If you want to rant, go to the rants section and do it there. E-chests? What is the Rate this section for then if not to beat the so-called "E-chest?" I posted my achievement and how I got it, simple as that. You keep talking about "anti-flame" comments and that has nothing to do with a rate this. You rated my achievement, which is fine. If you want to talk about other things go to a different part of the forum. My "honest" comments: I really like Herblore and Farming and that's why I decided to get them the way I did, and if I didn't I would not have, simple as that. You can keep your assumptions of me being "snobbish" to yourself, because you are coming off as arrogant. Don't bother posting here again as you have already rated my achievement. An update: I am using my remaining seeds to farm and will probably blow all my money on Herblore before I quit. Hopefully I can come close to the 20 Mil mark. (14.6 atm)
  5. I would have enjoyed your response, Saurman44, if you even took the time to spell my name correctly. I am NOT saying you are doing this whole ranting thing wrong, but that's just the feeling I am getting from it. I can't say I didn't "nolife" up until 94 Farming, but I have had this account for 5 years and I have been playing on and off. As I said, it took me from October 24th to May 15th to get from 94 Farming to 99. I'm sorry you feel that way, because I come from a time when there were no skill capes to show your achievements. If you nolifed, no one knew about it. When skill capes came out, there was a mad dash to get a cape. I have just slowly continued on through the years and I have finally accomplished everything I have wanted to do. So yes, I did get Farming to 99 without trees because I enjoyed doing it when I had the time. I'm sorry if you can't understand that. Thank you everyone for posting. And as for dungeoneering, I am not much of a combat guy myself but I will definitely give it a go before I leave.
  6. I achieved 99 Farming without using trees. It took a lot of time, but it was worth it for me. I achieved 99 Herblore through the use of Farming and I had not used trees up till that point, so I decided it would be awesome to do it the entire way without trees. Almost my entire time that I have been on Runescape in the past year has been to train Herblore and Farming. I just really loved the skills. As for Farming, I actually loathed it until I tried it. As I found that it was an easy and cheap way to get Herbs, I instantly became addicted to the Herb growing part of it. From Levels 1-43, I did Tears and Quests: An Ironic Start From Levels 43-94, I did only Herbs From Levels 94-99, I did Herbs and Watermelons (October 24th - May 15th) - I literally only got on, when I had the free time, and did only Farm runs. The runs of Herbs and Watermelons take about 15 minutes each time as I also made Supercompost. Once a day, I also did the following: - Received 120 Flax from Geoffrey - Received 150 Pure Essence from the Mage in Ardy - Bought 40 Pineapples and 80 Seaweed from the merchant in Camelot - Bought 64 Battlestaves from the guy in Varrock - Stole a gem when I went to get my Pure Essence / Slayed Bork for gems from 94-97 Farming - Farmed cactus seed, belladona seed, evil turnip seed, poison ivy seed, and mushrooms - Got my buckets of Sand from Bert - Visited 4 Coconut patches: These were the only Fruit Trees I ever planted. - I never planted any other Fruit Trees, any Trees, or a Calquat outside of a quest or diary. I started with 5 Mil GP after using 18 Mil to buy 97-99 Herblore. I could not keep my Herbs because I needed the money to buy more seeds. I sold my Battlestaves daily. I started to keep all of the special stuff like cactus seeds after 95 Herb. I started collecting Mushrooms at 97 Herblore. I now have (in addition to 117 Nightshades that can not be traded): Finally, goodbye beautiful untrimmed Herb! For the next month, I will be enjoying what I have accomplished. As I have accomplished everything in Runescape that I have set out to do, I will be quitting after this month of Membership is over, with absolutely no regrets. Thanks for reading!
  7. You're stats are pretty similar to mine, awesome. Good luck with 80+ and 85+! I am sure you will get there.
  8. Probably one of the few people very disappointed with the update. Waited a few years for a good high level update and I find it is all combat related, ohh well. Everyone else have fun raising your Herb levels.
  9. So, the journey has finally ended. After nearly 3 years of on and off play (and a lot of farming!), I have finally achieved my dream goal: 99 Herblore. This has been an agonizing, yet very fun journey. I've put so much effort into this, and this feeling of accomplishment is quite amazing. Every time I heard that someone "wasted 150 mil on 99 herb," I almost threw up. This skill means a lot to me, much more than some cape. Even though I don't post on Tip.It much, I've been here awhile and I've checked the RMT forum daily for motivation. I've posted a few of my achievements here, but nothing like this. 2,645th to 99 Herblore Money Making - I have never had more than 10 mil in gold, with my maximum bank value being around 25 mil at best. Constant farming and full use of the free daily money (Battlestaffs, flax, sand, and seaweed + pineapples) funded most of my Herblore. Even little things such as thieving from the Ardy Gem Stall every Herb Run and Picking Coconuts from my 2 Palm Trees helped fund 99 Herblore. It's hard to estimate a total value of 99, but I'd say it cost me around 60 mil, even with 6 million xp from Farming. 97-99 cost 18 million alone. I have never gained any of this money through pking, merching, staking, 26king, etc... it has come mostly from Runecrafting and Farming. Finally, here are some pictures! 99 Herblore: (ignore my one friend, he's just a skater punk from California that talks trash, but he's a cool guy when he doesn't swear! He thought it would be funny to post something like that.) 85 Herblore: 90 Herblore: 95 Herblore: I'd just like to say a thank you and congratulations to everyone who has posted a achievement topic over these past three years, they have really kept me motivated! I love to see people completing their goal. As for what's next? I am not quite sure. All 80+ stats and 99 Farming are a good possibility. If i ever managed 99 Farming, I would have my perfect RS account. I feel no need or have no want to max - just work on the two skills I've always had a passion for, Herblore and Farming. Thank you for looking, even if you don't post =). Edit: So I've continued to do herblore and farming, and within a week of 99 Herblore I have now achieved top 500 in it!
  10. I've farmed herbs only (and about 1k watermelon seeds) from 43-92 Farming. My max from 1 patch is 19 dwarf weeds My max from all 5 is 49 dwarf weeds. I average about 31-33 dwarf weeds per run. For watermelons my best was in the 170s for a run, 42 for a single patch.
  11. RSN: Fabblesone for the P2P List Thanks
  12. Not bad stats 6/10. Just get some lower ones up and 65+ and you should be fine. Bank 4/10, really needs some work :(
  13. To MrBrowser: I aim to get it higher after I get all stats 75+, possibly to 99. I don't have much in my bank, because I lately had a 4k+ potion sale. In the sale I had: Sara Brews, Range Pots, Anti-Fires, and Super Sets. I get most of my herbs from farming, buy vials from shilo village store, and buy seconds.
  14. I plan to get a 99 after all 75+, but I really have no idea which one. I am leaning more towards herblore however 8-)
