Winter Runescape

Hey, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before... but here it goes.

I think it would be pretty cool if Jagex, for the month of December covered all of Runescape in snow. P2P and F2P. I think it would make a great idea instead or in conjunction with the toys Santa handed out last year. But think about it wouldn't it be pretty cool to see all the buildings with snow on the rooves, icicles hanging from the edges.

I'm not sure about the Farming though I'd imagine they'd keep it going, I just think the snow would be pretty cool. Some X-mas Decor wouldn't hurt either.

Thats just an idea I thought of anyway whats everyone think?

I think the hoilday drop will be some sort of snow for your house

I love snow, too :)

However, a possible problem - it would be hard to see everything on the ground in the currently non-snowy areas. Those areas are, well, most of the RS world :)

I would love this also...but you must think...can jagex do this? I mean, it would be a LOT of changing and tweaking that would need to be done...and personally, I'd rather have Jagex spend time getting us better updates then a snow-filled winter...

Ya I know what you mean, thats one thing I think that would present problems. It would be alot of work to create the snow all over, so it might not even be worth it to create because the snow would only be around for a month or so.

Its summer at December in Christmas, but I suppose they would want to appease the masses and i wont totally mind :P

Yeah, I suggested that already. Under my post titled Enviroment Additions in this section somewhere.. Snow would be a cute addition. Then you could go Ice fishing. :). Even if some people say "well whatabout the countries that has winter in summer" Well..what about YOU LIVE IN THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE AND YOU NEVER GET SNOW. teehee..

Digging skill!!! or Snow-shoveling!!! you take the holiday item - a snow-shovel and you "drag" or "dig" in the snow to gain xp. The higher the skill, the longer you can drag or the better items you can find under the snow.

For that to work it would have to snow constantly and they cant stop it, if people want to train it. And seems kinda pointless to me, just a reason for quick cash?

Er, I don't think digging is worth introducing. Seems worse than farming :) Maybe you'd have to "shovel" someones walkway as part of a quest, but that would be about it.

Maybe they should bring in Frosty the Snowman as well. 8)

i love the idea since im canadian!

But the problem would be is that is to hard of a task to change that many graphics. What i think thoush is they should work on it, then use it every winter time.

That skill wont gibe anything. Even the farming can make money with herbs, but digging... :?

Um.. Just wondering, but isn't there a snowy area north of Trollheim? But of course that's not f2p. It sounds like a good idea, but it would take some programming to do, and, like someone else said, I'd rather have updates than snow. We always have beautiful weather in Runescape! =) Perfect for farming and such. (But, yes I'd love to see snow as well.)

Haha I can imagine those noobs trying to start farming during winter runescape. The next minute all their plants and herbs die!!! :twisted:

Ahem, ya...anyways. Let's have a snow storm, so that after winter runescape, everything is destroyed, the houses, banks, and it's up to the new carpentry skills to rebuild runescape! (Meaning carpentry should come out after winter runescape).
