Here's An Idea ...

What if we were to hold a tournament on Runescape for members at the Burthope Games Room? It could have an entrance fee, of maybe 1k, so it could serve as a money-drainer. There could be a reward fee based on the number of wins you get. It could be a knock-out, yet unorganized tournament; you have are eliminated if you lose three games, and you get points for winning. Your points are deducted for a loss, and you receive none for a draw. It can run over weekends and can last for a certain number of hours, and will start a certain times over the weekend. Maybe it can last all day Saturday, starting at 12AM GMT, and there are different sessions; 12AM-3AM, 3AM-6AM, 6AM-9AM, 9AM-12PM and so on. There can be prizes; maybe they can be random, like weapons, amulets, gems, armour. There'd be a first prize, then three second prizes, then five fourth prizes.

mmm, this would take alot of time to organise, i feel a bit iffue about this idea. :wink: the rewards may just be another thing where it's going to make prices sky high! unless their a new sort of warable item which you cannot trade. This would be a nice reward...

Well It would certinly draw people to the games room (It was never crowded when I was a member, I doubt it ever is nowadays). Its a good suggestion, I like it.

Well i agree. the games room isnt reall popular now so they really need to spice things up there.

Can people leave the games room alone, people go there to have a quite game on occation, they don't sit there for a few hours trying to get items. Just leave it alone.

Can you please give reason if you're going to oppose a suggestion? You're essentially saying "this is crap because I said so". Events like these would draw a lot more people to the Games Room. There's nothing wrong with adding a competition to it; whether it has items or not.

If it has no items then fair enough, but its one of those thing you dont mess with. Mainly because its ok the way it is, it has no need for some new match making game, It would interfer with the people who player there.

Dude, everything is okay the way it is. Everything is decent...everything is at least mildly acceptable. But this forum is to post suggestions.

If you don't like the change, that's fine. But this forum is built on trying to find ways to improve the game. If you don't think it will, then say so. But don't say, "it's decently decent now. No need to work on it."

if anything is to be read form this thread, its that burthorpe needs more "tourist attractions"

i mean theres a reason to go to falador or ardougne, varrock or even canifis...

but other then recharging your glories, theres little use to frequent burthorpe often...

Actually ... paint ball would be a pretty cool addition to Runescape.

newest bug: people can take the paintball guns outside the area and shootmpeople to make them paralyzed.
