New Quest Puzzle Solution (spoiler) and balloon teleports

Thought I'd post it in its own thread as it stretches the page quite a lot.

The numbers are the number of times to press relax.

Remember that you can move up or down when you're directly in front of an object - you don't move diagonally up, but more 'straight up, then across'

Once you have the quest finished, you can use the balloon to teleport to different locations across Runescape: Castle Wars, Taverly, the Crafting Guild, Varrock and the Grand Tree. To 'unlock' these teleports, you need to go to Entrana and tackle a new puzzle for each location, as well as bringing a certain type of log and having the appropriate firemaking level. The solutions for the first three locations are further on in this thread.

Crafting Guild - 10 oak logs - ? FM

Varrock - 10 willow logs - ? FM

Castle Wars - 10 yew logs - ? FM

Grand tree - 3 magic logs (thanks waynegiordi) - 60 FM

Once you've unlocked a route, you can travel to and from it from any other balloon teleport location. As fuel you need to bring just one log, instead of 10.

You get a small amount of firemaking experience for each spot you unlock. The Castle Wars one was 2k, not sure about the others.

Nice, is the quest worth the reward?

It's not worth hanging around a willow for hours as some people have :P

But if you get willow branches intelligently (plant tree, do stuff, get some branches, do stuff, get the other branches) then the other items are easy to get and it's quite a straightforward quest. The exp rewards aren't great, but i like the new teleport options.

Great thing I'm getting quite frustrated since I missed a couple of times.

Turns out after you complete the quest, there are more puzzles to complete to get to the other balloon locations :) I'll put them up when i finish them

Ok, here's the Castle Wars puzzle:

It would have been a squeeze to fit all the moves on, so here they are (up+ means a big up):

Screen 1: up+ up down down across3 down down across3 up up+ across up up across3

Screen 2: up across down down down across7 up+ down across across down across

Screen 3: up down across5 up down down across across up+ down down down across

You'll need 10 yew logs for the fuel, and once you've done it you need 1 normal log.

Yeah, it's smaller than i expected. However, i think that's better actually - it fits on the page nicely, and you should still be able to read it fine.

There may be a 'slight' mistake somewhere in that (say down instead of up), but if so it be very obvious when you get there.

Can't do the last one, not got 60 firemaking :(

You can't trim branches as it grows.

Do all trips require 10 yews to unlock?

No. I've edited my first post now to show what is required for each puzzle, and when you've unlocked the puzzle you only need 1 log of that type.

Grand Tree = 3 magic logs

Um... question here! Why do you say the grand tree needs 60 firemaking when it requires mage logs... which are 70 firemaking...?
