Link to clan website

I think there should be a like to your clan where you can put in your clan name, something like the RS highscores. On the profile page, next to where you enter your clan, there could be an extra box where your can put the url to the website/forums. If you put something in the clan box but not in the url, the words would just be not clickable.

Thoughts?

I think its a good idea, but because some forum users may have malicious intents and link to a page with Trojans/Keyloggers etc.

If this could somehow be avoided, I believe the clan site should have a referring link back, just for fairness sake. However that raises the problem of how to enforce the returning link. Unless we just requested it rather than enforced it.

I think this would be a good idea, even better to revive clan discussion. I assume the link would be over the text in the 'Clan:'(See peterpans post below for an example). Also, I do suggest that the referral link is requested, and not mandatory.

I don't know why whoever said about key loggers/virus's, if your going to say that, then all links that any user posts should be censored until a moderator clears them. Impractical, but that is truly what you are saying.

I dont think it needs its own box, it should make the clan you write in hyperlinked (with you putting in url of course) to your clan's recruitment topic on tif. ex: Clan: Telly Tubbies

I meant my sentence in the sense that since it's already possible to advertise a clan in your sig, allowing people to put a link in their sig would not cause additional problems with regards to eyehawk78's original concerns.
