I didn't read the suggestion, I admit it. I skipped right to the rewards section. They sound awesome, and I was wondering if I could draw them up?

Messiah's sword is screaming machete/scimitar/falchion to me...

Absolutely, I LOVE your work, hawk :) I'd be honored if you drew concept art for it!

And as I said, it's perfectly find if you didn't read the entire thing, it's quite understandable.

Sweet.   I'll start on that, just a note though, my scanner is not working, rather, the computer the scanner's attached to is not working so it may be a while before you have legit good art (thank goodness for digital cameras though!)

Fantastic, Zaaps. I read the whole thing.    I've been pondering the idea of an epic dungeon since Dungeoneering came out, so it's cool to read something similar (and something that's actually been written and fleshed out, unlike mine). Here are some thoughts:

- The Prima remind me of elves, the Prime Divine remind me of the Elder Gods, and the Primordial Magi remind me of the Mahjarrat. Perhaps it would be more in-line with the lore of Runescape to change those? I don't quite remember if the elves and Mahjarrat fit into the timeline of Runescape the way you wrote it, but I think it would give the suggestion a little more familiarity, if you know what I mean.

- Some of the dungeons and boss fights remind me a LOT of Zelda, which is a good thing. I think you need to change the name of the Temple of Time, though. ;)

- How long do you think it would take to do this every month? I'm a little weary of having a random reward at the end, but I guess that depends on the rarity of the items.

- Rewards seem very OP, but obviously the rewards are not the crux of your suggestion, so that's not really a big deal.

All in all, I like it very much.

Well I created something totally new so the least impact on current storylines would occur. I suppose some lines of similarity could be expanded to make the themes and races more familiar, but then there would be a lot of "wait, ___ source says that didn't happen" or "no according to _____ quest, _____ is the result and your story is wrong"

- Some of the dungeons and boss fights remind me a LOT of Zelda, which is a good thing. I think you need to change the name of the Temple of Time, though. ;)

Crap, now that you point out that name issue, you're right. I'll change it, won't be as catchy, damn Nintendo taking all the good names

- How long do you think it would take to do this every month? I'm a little weary of having a random reward at the end, but I guess that depends on the rarity of the items.

I want to say at least a few hours. Of course there would be streams of monsters to kill and such, but I'm a little wary about putting hours worth of gameplay into an idea, so I've tried to keep it short. Obviously, it didn't work out too well.

- Rewards seem very OP, but obviously the rewards are not the crux of your suggestion, so that's not really a big deal.

Which ones in particular? You're right, it's way more about the Master Dungeon than the rewards, but since the rewards are a part of it as well, I'd like to know

All in all, I like it very much.

Just reading this through and spotted this, think it's an error  :ohnoes: I'll post my opinion soon <3:

Fairy Tale Part 3
Desert Treasure + Ghostly Robes side-quest + Shadow Sword side-quest
Restless Ghost
Legends
Eagle’s Peak
Nomad’s Requiem
Shades of Mort’ton
Love Story
Meeting History
My Arm’s Big Adventure
Blood Runs Deep
Troll Stronghold
Wolf Whistle
Mage Arena (mini-quest)
Must have been inside Daemonhiem at least once*

There's nothing exceptionally difficult like WGS or Nomad's Requiem, although most players who are able to complete this dungeon will probably have those completed anyway.

I love the creativity, and though some of this is unbelievable as content, it's a fantastic read and great to imagine it   I'd love to see bosses like that and bringing in items from outside of dungeoneering like your ideas <3:

I like: read through the whole thing.

Rewards should be a little less OP and you should be able to do this once every 2 or 3 weeks, getting a unique item every time (obviously, some items would be rarer than others).

Mostly just the book of the prime divine. The rest are relatively balanced. Maybe put str bonus down to 10 or so?

I think it's pretty balanced, considering that it offers no defense bonuses. But come to think of it, yeah I think it could use some reduction. -10 is a little too much though, I think +14 is fair, which is like +7 str over Dragonfire. Zerker (i) ring is +4 over Zerker ring and requires a lot of time to obtain as well.

Wow, this is great!  The history aspect is a little off, but I read it all and its great!  One other thing is that it lacks the randomness of most dungeoneering, so it doesn't really fit in well with dungeoneering.  The rewards are great too, maybe you could go to the temple and dedicate your armour or sword to one of the gods?  And these gods are the elder gods, right?  If they aren't, the lore is messed up a lot, and if they are waaay to much is revealed.  Maybe make the gods or their agents a little more cryptic... and remember the edicts!

great overall.  And I look forward to seeing those pics.

Thanks for your support and your comments :)

I'd like to address a few of the points you've brought up.

What I hoped to imply is that the mentioned gods, the Prime Divine, are not the "Elder Gods". Again, I'm not perfect with the history, but here's the picture I hope to paint:

My Picture

On dedicating armor, I felt the inner workings were complex enough that I didn't have to include any patronage from the Prime Divine apart from your selected Special Ability and vital storyline components. Although if you mean purely visual changes, I'm all for it.

On Dungoneering's random nature, I tried to include as many options for randomness as possible, such as randomized puzzles, etc. However, you'll notice that very little detail is given on the floor's layout. I expect the general idea to be the same, but of course with dungeoneering components added.

For example, on Floor 6, with the Ice, Fire, and Force puzzles, from the stairs to the Fire and Ice puzzles, it's only mentioned that they're the next stop. In between there may be Guardian Doors, Skill Doors, Puzzle Doors, etc. In addition, remember that a new Temple is generated for each player, so we can't expect TOO much randomness, as we need to consider the capacity of the servers.
