I think I meant to come across more as it's not appropriate to ask them in game whether they'd like to marry the prince or princess directly for example, not that exposing them to it was inappropriate. Like people shouldn't be forced to give that kind of information to continue a quest whatever their age Ehh... If the players understood the separation between the player and their character/avatar/whatever, then it's fine; you're not telling your sexuality, just your avatars, which may be different than yours. You wouldn't even be giving your sexuality, just choosing who to go with in this case, and that decision could be influenced by a number of things apart from gender and sexuality. But that's definitely more borderline. That line of reasoning does make more sense than what I thought you (and others) were saying; thanks for clarifying. I agree, I don't view my character as me but a seperate entity, it's just an avatar to me. Some people do play as if it's themselves though so they may think they were being asked that, I don't see the need to appease some to potentially upset others in that particular case on the quest :D
