[1.0] How it all started

Everyone has their "Old-school days", which are fond of memories they once had as young runescapers. Well here's mine. I started off on a character called gangste619, and as every scaper tries to do, I levelled him up to around my 70's. This was a time of runescape where level 126's and such weren't as popular as they are now. Back then it was rare to see one, even in mid-tier clan, and 110 was a proud achievement of the time. But I gathered my own friend-base, which consisted of me, pikachu19900, escalade2011 and gangster619 (My cousin now known as 'Airy'). So anyways, we used to hang around together, back when RS was a more chill era if you would like to call it, and where pking was the word around town. I myself had only stepped into the wilderness a few times, which always ended up to my demise some way or the other, and now that I had 4 good friends, I once mentioned the idea to them, hoping my with my all that they would agree to try it out. Thankfully, as good and trustworthy friends do, we tried this, and it wasn't very soon when we stepped in and managed to get a few kills here and there, always having a good joke and laughing about our deaths afterwards.

But it was this one time, when I saw there was a whole different side to what I was experiencing. One night, we decided to step up into the wildy again, but this time, something happened that totally changed me and aroused my curiosity. As we were looking for stragglers to kill, a bunch of white dots rushed towards us and the lives of my friends were taken before me, and mine flashed before my eyes. Ok not really that dramatic, but anyways, we got rushed by a whole load of people, and it was only me and gangster that luckily managed to escape. At first I never moved, not because of anything physically done to me by the opponent, but by how I was astonished by the organization of this clan, who all wore the same armour and cape, and spammed a single initial followed by the name of my friends to determine where the victim of their attack was.

I managed to escape alright, but something kept me longing to go back.. I dont know how or what it was. But I just wanted to go back and meet this group of people. They had amazed me, and I didn't care how wierd people thought it sounded, but I felt I had to repay them.

Anyways, weeks went on with our friendship still strong, but some of them not willing to go back into the wilderness because it seemed to dangerous. Me and gangster always wished to, but the other two, escalade in particular tried to avoid the debate on it. So we ended up scaping as usual, and by this time "Castle Wars" came out and a few other minigames, so our interests were moved. But not once, did I forget about this, and I knew one day I would find out what the wilderness was truly about, and what domination in the wilderness truly meant.

Around '05- was my fall, and after thinking we had a long enough friendship with escalade, she hacked and permenantly banned my account so that I couldn't get her back for taking my stuff. This was when I made Gokuu_Ssj, the character I live on to this date. I focused on levelling up this time, and the wilderness issue was at the back of my head, because I knew I had a character to raise again and wanted to get this one right. I made friends, but knew to keep my distance. Escalade had hacked and scammed me more than a few times in the past, but for some reason I still trusted her and accepted her excuses. Gokuu_Ssj was a fresh start, and so I kept myself away from her, but kept gangster619 and pikachu19900. I made other friends by this time, and carried on.

Funny how one moment can change your whole life. And I'm not going to lie, being recruited and accepted into the clan world did. Once I was just standing outside falador bank, and I remember Scattcatt came up to me, and sorta embarassed he managed to ask me "I know this is a bit embarassing but, I've been ordered to do this. I was wondering, would you be interested in joining a clan?" I had known what a clan was from general knowledge, but never knew such things existed in Runescape. Anyways, he guided me through to the forums and how to post my application. I posted this and soon got accepted into The Chaos Crusaders. After attending my first event, which was a pk trip, I got familiar to the wilderness more and learnt more tricks on surviving and getting kills I never knew before. I was attached more than anything to this clan, and it grew to the point where I knew for myself if this clan never existed I would not be playing Runescape anymore. I dedicated nearly all of my life to Runescape now, and at this time I can actually say I was addicted to runescape, and it inevitably meant I spent more time on this than real life. I did whatever The Chaos Crusaders asked me to, and went to every event I could. At this time I was also slightly immature as I was only around 12 years of age, but my activity was by far one of the best in the clan. I soon got promoted to Elite Member, then up to Council.

During this era, we used ingame calling, and we fought on par or above clans such as Dragonwood, Crimson Raiders, Blades of Serenity, Shadow Elves, The Hobbits of Runescape. We were allies with CR, and I had even lead an allied PK trip between them in which Tj040 scouted Rune (G) and I got the kill. One of my most memorable F2P Pks.

Throughout my time in TCC, I made great friends, some of which I still talk to today. However, one of the best friends I ever had was a girl called link_trigger, who I used to KQ with 24/7 and such. Anyways, towards the end the end of my TCC career she decided she wanted bigger moves and made a leaving topic to join Rune Raiders. I kind of lost a lot of motivation, and we never even kept in touch. Two weeks later, I posted my leaving application for a 3rd time and this time final. I was quitting Runescape too, as it was taking over my real life too much. A week or so later, seeing the leave of two councils (me and linky), a few other key members to follow, and other issues, TCC closed for the final time. I deleted all my runescape screenshots, history, and decided it was the end of Runescape for me, forever this time.

Being the curious kid I was, I returned 1-2 years later to check up on Runescape, and my account was still login-able. I saw that TCC had ended (I never knew this when I left as it happened a week or so after I left) and I caught up on a few old friends. A lot of ex-TCC ranks such as Sascwatch and Arp590 were being idiots to me, and so I only retaliated and now I plan to have no connections with the TCC ranks. I created Clan Envy for the first time as a P2P events and some F2P warring clan in the hope of getting memories of my own this time, but it turned out to be mainly community and P2P fun events based. We never used audio at this time, and it was late 2008. Our forums got hacked by a guy called Trey, and not a while after Gokuu_Ssj got permenantly banned for advertising the clan website (It was my little cousin that did this when I went afk and let him do my task). I was still determined to keep Envy alive, and so made the account "Airyline" from scratch with one of my other cousins, and we builded this for the clans sake. We got it to about 70-80 combat, but with all recent events it seemed as though it was the final straw, and so I quit runescape to go to another MMORPG for a year.

In early 2009, I logged on Airyline to be quickly informed by Envys ex-leader Death_pkin00 that for the first time, runescape released a method of unbanning permenatly banned accounts. I quickly checked forums to see that Mod_Raven had posted an account review topic, where people could give their names from long banned accounts and they would once more be reviewed. It was currently locked as Jagex had a hugh backlog of thousands of accounts they were dealing with, and so I checked week after week till it was open. One day I found it open, and quickly gave in Gokuu's name. I couldn't contain my excitement, and kept checking all night to see if my account would be unbanned. I was up until 1am, and gave it one last check before going sleep to find a "Loading - Please wait" message and then a successful login! I had never felt so excited in my life. I quickly told ex-Envy members over IRC that I had got my account back, and would be re-opening the clan!

I started rebuilding Envy 2 weeks after I got my account back, and it was sort of the same story. We were open for a few months until July 2009, as a P2P mainly clan, but a bit more F2P warring. We were dying out, and so I resigned over Summer and told a few members to just keep training and that I would give it one final push after Summer when I came back from vacation. In this time dedicated members like Ezlas kept the IRC active, and got over 5-6 combat levels simply because I told them to.

After summer, I opened it and called it the "new" envy, in which it was a clan where F2P warring was mandatory, and the rest were optional. We got a few ex-members back, and built up from here. Starting off from practice in W 141 ffa portal, I recruited hard at GE for members and taught them how to tank and such. Legends such as murt_92, shooboo7 were all recruited from the GE and taught them from no knowledge the art of F2P warring. It was from here that I used my clan world experience, and their dedication, to work together to build an F2P warring clan. I started posting small wins on RSC, and getting every aspect of the clan active. I had promoted Ezlas to leader because he was one of the few that kept us going, and had bubbles pay to buy IPB forums. We built up from here, and more recently had experienced warrers and good figureheads from RSC and the clan world join our clan. It is all this that made us the clan we are today, known as "ENVY".
